Serving southeastern lower Michigan, we have earned an outstanding reputation with our clients & community, and we look forword to working with you soon. Capozzo and Sons Excavating, Inc. started in 1970 as Capozzo's Grading and Dozing, at that time we strictly did bulldozer work. It was founded by the current president Tony Capozzo, who is still very active in the business today. In 1992, we became incorporated and changed from a grading to a complete excavating company capable of providing many different services. Today Tony works very closely with his 2 sons, Charlie and Nick, which makes our company a true family oriented business. We take a great deal of pride in our work going the extra mile to make sure our customers receive only the best service and quality of work. Capozzo and Sons care about you and the community and are proud members and supporters of the Lions Clubs and their charities. We are also members of the Better Business Bureau, licensed & insured, and are MDot pre-qualified; "WE CARE ABOUT YOU". "Our work is second to none; GUARANTEED!"

"The whole process of quoting, sales presentation, finance arrangement, installation was simple, timely, professional, complete and painless. The price was very competitive, the installation was smooth and prompt, and the end product is thing of beauty. This review is from a homeowner who has had a couple of terrible furnace experiences in the past decade."

Universal Septic Services, LLC. is a full service provider for all your septic needs. We have over 20 years experience in the septic industry. We are a family owned and operated company that pride ourselves in treating our customers with respect and honesty. Our goal is to provide our customers with the highest quality services while educating our communities to ensure the well being of the environments in and around Livingston, Oakland, Macomb and Genesee Counties.

"I went through Universal Septic to completely replace my septic field. Let me start with, Eric is very good at telling you everything you want to hear. He gave me an over the phone estimate that was much lower than other companies. When he ran the final estimate, the price went up more than double his over-the-phone estimate. His price was still a little better price amongst other companies I had called. He was very pleasant when I met him and I had no doubts or worries that he would go above and beyond to keep his clients happy. They reconstructed the septic field back in February 2022. On the first day, I was home and I heard a big crash and felt my house shake. His men hit my chimney with one of their trucks and took a good size chunk out of one of the bricks. The job itself took about a week to complete. The men said they would be back out in March or early April for the regrade. Eric also said he would have someone out to repair my chimney. His guys were NOT back in March or april for the regrade. Instead, I had to hound company with emails and phone calls to get them to come out and finish the job they started. Again, they were good at telling me what I wanted to hear. I was told countless times that I was next on the list or they would be out the following week but they did not fix my backyard until mid JUNE. At this point my backyard was a mess! The land was filled with weeds, ruts from the trucks and small sink holes from all the rain we were getting. It was very dangerous to walk on and yet I had to deal with it for months. After the regrade, I had a fence guy come out to help fix the section of fence they took down to get their equipment through. All the hardware that was holding the chain link fence in place was missing and the fence was damaged beyond repair. I had to replace the section completely. Eric warned me they would have to take it down to get their equipment through. He said there would be minimal damage but did not warn me I would have to replace that section completely. It has now been 8 months since the septic field had been replaced and I am still waiting for someone to fix the damage done to my chimney. I am beyond frustrated and hate writing bad reviews. I really wanted to like this company, but I am very unhappy with how the job went and how long it took for Universal to finish the job they started. If you are looking to contract someone out for a bigger job, not just pumping the tank, I would look into other companies."

Sewer Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Check connections, clean fixtures, and apply finishing or protective coatings to preserve months' worth of shine and functionality.

It is safe to flush small amounts of bleach down the toilet. Don’t flush more than ¼ cup of bleach. Instead, consider diluting it and pouring it down the sink drain.

The cost to repair a main sewer line clog is about $3,110 on average. The average cost range is  $1,310 to $4,950, but it can go as low as $215 and as high as $9,300 or more. The cost factors for this repair include the severity of the clog, pipe accessibility, video inspection, removal method, permits, pipe material, labor rates in your area, and time of year. Repairs made from outside during the winter can be more difficult due to the frozen ground or during the spring if the ground is saturated from a lot of rain and snow melt.

Regardless of the drain cleaner type you choose to use, they all work through chemical reactions that create heat. Thanks to the heat, the clogged hair begins to dissolve until it is able to be flushed away. To avoid clogs in your drain due to hair, use hair catchers and empty them out after every shower.

Unlike regular cleanings, snaking your sewer line should be done as needed. There’s no reason to snake your sewer line if you don’t have any noticeable issues, like slow drainage or plugged drains. You can add it to your regular sewer cleaning checklist as a prevention method (on the same 18- to 22-month schedule), but it’s not always necessary.
