"We were happy with the price, it was fair. Every aspect of the work they did was perfect. The equipment they installed was excellent. We really were happy with them. We looked at a lot of furnace provider and we were happy how they did the service for us. Its a local company, not part of a chain."

"Our water heater decided to stop producing hot water on a Sunday.  We called a couple of local companies and found they didn't make appointments on Sunday or were too cost prohibitive.  On Monday we made a couple of calls and found Hedlund Plumbing.  They set up an appointment for Monday shortly after we talked to them.
The repair tech, Adam, arrived on time and immediately went to work on our water heater.  The heater was very old and after finding out what the problem was we decided to replace it instead of having it repaired.  We needed a replacement that was a bit different then the norm and Adam immediately set out to locate one, which he did.  It was late in the day before we made our decision so we set up an appointment to have the new system installed the next day (Tuesday).
Adam arrived on Tuesday exactly when he said he would and in no time at all had our new water heater hooked up and we had hot water again; the old heater was gone and; we had a bill for exactly what the estimate said.  We weren't charged for any of the time Adam spent working on the old heater on Monday.  He also told us about a coupon on Hedlund's website that allowed us to save $50.00.
We can't say enough good things about Adam and his knowledge and professionalism.  He was kind, patient, and answered all our questions.  He was so great he will be a big part of the reason we'll use Hedlund's Plumbing again.  Another reason we'll use Hedlund's in the future is their pricing, which was less then another local company of similar size offering the same services.  We'd recommend Hedlund's to any one - without reservation."

"Excellent service, very fast response to my request for service, picked up laptop, diagnosed issues. Initially thought it was an OS update issue but the hard drive had failed along with other components (including 'CPU). Because other components were involved, a new solid state hard drive was put into a laptop with a working processor - same type CPU as in the failed unit. The laptop was repaired and returned in less than a week. This company picked up and dropped off the laptop (driving from Huntsville, AL (about 60-70 minutes)-- great service in this covid environment. I would recommend this company to my family./friends and will use again."

Boiler Repair questions, answered by experts

The radiators closest in proximity to the boiler heating system will heat up first. Radiators in rooms farther away from the boiler will take longer to heat up and may be the coolest rooms in the house. The radiator unit itself should heat up evenly; otherwise, there may be trapped air inside it.

Attempting DIY fixes can be dangerous. Regular boiler maintenance can help prevent overheating, so schedule professional servicing as a preventive measure. In an emergency, telling occupants to leave the house is a good idea. Then, you can turn off the boiler and the gas or fuel supply. Let it cool naturally, and check the thermostat's settings. Ensure there are no obstructions around the boiler for proper ventilation. Monitor the pressure gauge; if it's too high, bleed the radiators if necessary. During this time, bringing in professionals for troubleshooting is also smart.

Some of the signs of HVAC issues include rising energy bills, rooms not cooling or heating properly, loud noises when in operation, and signs of condensation. To illustrate, if you’re wondering how to stop condensation on air vents, you’ll need to have your HVAC inspected.

Over time, a radiator can leak if turned off due to the built-up air pressure, which can cause water or coolant to leak. If your radiator leaks when it’s off, turn your whole system off and bleed the radiator, then turn it back on. If it’s still leaking, you might want to have an HVAC professional look at the issue.

Your house may be cold even if the heat is on because of bad insulation, gaps in doors, small holes pulling hot air from the home, or excess humidity. The heater itself might be malfunctioning. For this problem, you’d need to talk to an HVAC pro. If you have a gas heating system (most do) this should be considered an urgent job as natural gas could be leaking in your home.
