"I was on the market for a security system and this one seemed easy enough to install.......went through the process and some of the window sensors were not working. I called Customer Support who was very friendly and we went through the entire process again...this time other window sensors did not work. This went on for a week or so...then the door senors stopped working....than the motion sensor stopped working...at no time in over a month did I have a fully operational security system. As I was about to return the system I was told they have "new" sensors and they just realized they received a bad batch and are working with another company.....Gave it a try....and same issue returned....some sensors worked....some didn't. I finally returned the system and stopped getting emails.....only to find that they were still billing my credit card even after I returned the equipment. Very nice people and very understanding.....unfortunately their product is not up to par. While we do have a large home, it's an open concept and the sensors that weren't working were no more than 15ft away from the base. The previous owners of my house had a wireless system with no issues at all.....I'm going to be using that company going forward."

"You should probably add 4-6 weeks to the expected delivery date if you expect to need the "enclosed" hardware. I received the blinds in the estimated time, but it came without the required hardware. I have made 4 calls (at least) over several weeks, but the hardware is nowhere in site. It is clear that SelectBlinds.com is a marketing company only has outsourced all production and fulfillment to third parties and evidently has a difficult time coordinating these type of customer service issue. Extremely frustrating that my blinds have been sitting in the floor for over a month and all I need is a few screws. Happy to go to Home Depot to get the screws, but SelectBlinds can't even tell me what sizes I need."

"We were going to purchase our Pella windows from a big box store at a lower cost; however, we decided to purchase directly from Pella because we were told by the salesperson that we would get a higher quality installation. Unfortunately, this has not been the case. One of our new windows does not close. Most of the windows are drafty around the perimeter. The windows were not caulked well on the interior or exterior. We have reported the issues to Pella on several occasions and they have been slow to respond and none of the repairs have been made. Last week, they delivered some additional windows and the slider arrived cracked. Pella has still not let us know how long it will take to get a replacement. Overall, we have been very disappointed with Pella. We probably should have purchased from a big box store."

This can be a matter of personal preference, but a good rule of thumb is to center your bathroom mirror over the sink’s faucet. In some cases, if the sink is off-center in the vanity or  you have multiple sinks in the same vanity, you may find it more aesthetically pleasing to center the mirror over the vanity.

You don’t want to put anything on top of your mirror when you move it. You also want to limit the possibility that something heavy will fall on the glass and shatter it. For this reason, it’s not a good idea to lay a mirror flat in the moving truck.

You should always pack glasses standing up. It will eliminate the pressure that comes with weight when delicate items are stacked on top of each other horizontally. Don’t forget to wrap each glass individually with bubble wrap, and don’t add anything on top except for additional padding. Always mark these boxes as fragile.

You can purchase standard mirrors up to 98 by 80 inches or larger custom mirrors. However, larger mirrors often need to comprise more than one piece of glass.

You can buy DIY mirror repair kits to carry out minor repairs on mirrors, but we don’t recommend it. Repairing and resilvering mirrors is a delicate process that involves caustic chemicals and demands a high level of precision for positive results. The materials will likely cost over $100, meaning you won’t be saving that much over hiring a professional. Plus, since mirror repair and resilvering are easy to mess up, you might pay more to hire a repair pro after your DIY attempt. As such, we recommend hiring a mirror repair expert from the start.
