"We have American Home Shield warranty. We did have some plumbing and electrical work done. I have no idea who the service was because we did it through the home warranty. They have a $75 deductible for everything. American Home Shield has been great, definitely A across the board. The $75 deductible seemed great for cost and professionalism. They have a web site, Hub, where you can request service and everything, so A across the board for them. They are punctual and they cover the range of plumbing and - they cover a lot of issues with the home so I can always go to them if anything goes wrong, from plumbing to electrical to appliances. They've got me covered across the board."

"There were many things wrong in my computer (my fault and letting grandchildren on computer) Robert was so helpful, gave me many good instructions to keep everything safe, which I have written down, feel like I have a new computer. He was so excellent and experienced, took his time and was meticulous about what needed to be done. He was a pleasure to work with and I will use this company again! Linda Disy"

All typical handyman projects are welcomed. I have been in maintenance, construction, and done odd jobs such as trade work(plumbing electrical) full time for a little over a year now for different companies and individuals. I would be happy to get in touch and offer a free job estimate with any task you are looking to have completed.

Electrical questions, answered by experts

In Atlanta, tackle electrical issues like flickering lights, burning odors, or frequent breaker trips right away, as these signal urgent safety risks. If you discover outdated wiring or insufficient outlets, plan upgrades within a year or two. Consider scheduling major electrical work during spring or summer for easier access and better contractor availability, especially since Atlanta’s winters can delay outdoor projects and emergency repairs.

Helpful?

Upgrading your home’s electrical system in Atlanta can significantly boost resale appeal, especially since many properties have aging wiring. Modern panels, whole-home surge protection, and energy-efficient lighting are attractive to buyers seeking safety and lower utility costs. Adding features like EV charging stations or smart home wiring can also set your property apart in Atlanta’s competitive market, making it more appealing to tech-savvy or eco-conscious buyers.

Helpful?

Completing electrical upgrades in Atlanta delivers immediate safety improvements, reducing the risk of electrical fires and outages. In the long term, you’ll enjoy increased energy efficiency, fewer emergency repairs, and a system ready for future technology. These upgrades also help your home meet evolving electrical safety codes, which is especially important in Atlanta’s rural areas where weather extremes can strain older wiring and panels.

Helpful?

When hiring an electrician in Atlanta, prioritize those with experience in rural home wiring and strong local references. Ensure they understand Atlanta’s permit requirements and can respond quickly during storm-related outages. Look for professionals who provide detailed written estimates, offer clear warranties, and demonstrate knowledge of electrical safety codes. Avoid contractors who pressure you for immediate decisions or request cash-only payments, as these are red flags.

Helpful?

In Atlanta, seasonal shifts make electrical safety a priority. Schedule annual inspections to catch wiring issues common in older homes, and test GFCI outlets every quarter to ensure protection against moisture. Before winter, check outdoor fixtures for proper weatherproofing and clear debris from generator vents. Proactive electrical maintenance helps prevent outages, supports code compliance, and keeps your home safe through Atlanta’s harsh winters and stormy summers.
