"A&D Renovations was a dream to work and I'll consider them for all my future home projects from now on. I contacted Dennis based on his rating here on Angie's List and was not disappointed. He scheduled in my appointments around his busy schedule and provided me a professional and courteous experience. I always felt we were on the same page and Dennis welcomed phone calls or emails from me, even over the holidays if I had any questions. His focus was understanding my vision and to execute it as I wanted it done. The job was completed on time and looks fantastic. I highly recommend A&D Renovations to any friend or family member."

"I didn’t realize how far my kitchen was from being efficient. After having my kitchen gutted and remodeled it’s much more enjoyable to cook and spend time with family now that there is space and functionality. It came out spectacular and the price was right!"

Small jobs welcome

"Kaydn has been very responsive as our renovation and repair needs evolve. We certainly aren’t done yet, but we will keep this company involved as we continue to work forward through some major renovations. We just started with them for essential repairs before embarking on the more ambitious projects. Kaydn has proven himself as very knowledgeable and capable. More to come."

"We needed to remodel our bathroom as our tub had a crack. Within a few minutes of contacting I had an appointment scheduled. The salesperson was knowledgeable and personable and met with us in the evening so we didnà ¢à  à  t lose any work time. The installation process was wonderful, everyone was professional, they covered the floors, so as not to track on them. We did have a couple of requests after installation and our installers came back a few days later to address our requests. We are thrilled with our new shower and we cannot wait to use it for years to come"

Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel questions, answered by experts

To fill the gap between your bathroom vanity and the side wall, a simple DIY caulk application should do the trick. Applying a bead of caulk along the gap creates a seamless finish while also helping to protect the wall and prevent dust or debris from accumulating in the space.

To make a small bathroom look bigger, choose light-colored tiles in a medium- to large-format size. Lighter colors like white, cream, or light gray help open up a room, making it feel larger and more airy. While it may seem counterintuitive, small tiles can actually make a bathroom look smaller because the increased number of grout lines creates a busy pattern that visually shrinks the space. Instead, opt for medium- or large-format tiles for a more seamless, expansive appearance. For the best effect, pair your tiles with a matching or similarly colored grout to create a continuous surface that enhances the illusion of a larger area. Avoid dark colors, heavy patterns, and contrasting grout, as these can make the space feel more confined.

Yes, $5,000 is a healthy budget for a DIY bathroom renovation. It can go a long way in making the space more accessible and stylishly spa-like. Providing you stick to modest materials and don’t make any major plumbing or structural changes, you can upgrade fixtures, retile, and add some stylish bathroom accessories and savvy storage solutions to maximize the space.

If done right, wainscoting can make a small bathroom look bigger, but it has more to do with the color choices than the wainscoting itself. If you keep it light and paint the wainscoting the same color as the wall, it can add depth to the design while making the room feel open. Another option is to add wallpaper with a large design on the walls above the wainscoting.

A bathroom addition project takes five to 12 weeks from the design stage to the end of construction, but it varies with the complexity of the project and your goals. Adding a small half bath takes less time than building a luxurious, high-end primary bathroom. It could also take longer if you need to run new electrical and plumbing in the room.
