"So I live in a older house (1947) so the plumbing is older too. Anytime I used my sink dishwasher or laundry the water would all but flood my basement making it almost unusable. I called and talked to Seth he was able to get to my home the next day and diagnose the problem my pipes in the concrete were old and clogged beyond repair well he managed to completely redo all of my plumbing brand new and have it up and running in a matter of a few hours! I now have a dry usable basement. He gave me a very decent price as well! Now hopefully I don't need another plumber anytime soon but if I do I'm calling seth at SWB!"

"We called in desperation.  A quick trip to our son's house to fix a troublesome furnace and soon we hear the sound of water running.  That sinking feeling when you discover it is the main water pipe to the house, spewing many many gallons of water and having formed a very large sink hole in the back yard.  He arrived within two hours of our call.  Had it fixed quickly.  Given the amount of snow and mud on the ground, this was the wrong time of year for such a repair!  He was extremely responsive, professional, courteous.  Will definitely use him for all our well needs going forward!

"Our septic drain froze around a huge root ball and everything backed up into the house. We had a different service come and they tried to thaw the pipe, charged us $1000 for that work and then said they’d have to dig up our entire lawn to fix the problem. Zoom drain came for a second opinion. They used the camera and found the problem, fixing it with jets of hot water and a roto rooter. Saved us about $2000. They were awesome. They also put shoe guards on every time they enter the building so they’re not tracking mud and brown water into your house. You really get the sense they’re not there to spend your money, they just want to get the job done. Highly recommend."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Adding new fixtures during plumbing projects directly impacts other household systems. Increased water usage places extra demand on your private well pump and septic system. Work on water heaters alters boiler pressure in hydronic heating setups common in Buxton. Upgrading pumps or water heaters requires dedicated electrical circuits. Consult a licensed contractor to evaluate your well capacity and septic load before starting any major additions.

Helpful?

Timelines for plumbing projects rely on the scope of work and seasonal demand. Minor repairs or water heater replacements take a few hours to a full day. Bathroom additions require one to three weeks of active work. In ME, scheduling a local professional and securing municipal permits adds several weeks to the process. Projects involving septic evaluations take months, as frozen ground delays required site inspections.

Helpful?

Completing plumbing projects significantly boosts your property's resale appeal in Buxton. Buyers heavily scrutinize private well and septic systems, so updating these features increases marketability. Securing proper permits creates a solid paper trail that reassures buyers during inspections. With rising demand from nearby urban areas, visible upgrades to bathrooms and kitchens also make your home stand out. Always hire a local professional to ensure all work meets required standards.

Helpful?

Updating your plumbing directly enhances daily comfort. Installing water filtration systems resolves hard water issues, improving taste and protecting your appliances. A properly sized water heater ensures reliable hot water during freezing winter months in Buxton. Insulating exposed pipes and winterizing outdoor hose bibs eliminates the disruption of seasonal freeze damage. Repairing stressed septic connections removes odors and prevents backups, keeping your home clean and comfortable year-round.

Helpful?

Make plumbing safer for your family by installing anti-scald devices on fixtures to protect young children from hot water burns. In ME, test your private well water for naturally occurring radon, arsenic, and lead, especially after disturbing older pipes. Insulate exposed pipes in unheated crawl spaces to prevent freezing and water damage. Address radon mitigation directly at the water entry point to improve overall household health and safety.
