"It was a pleasure to work for [Member Name Removed], thank you for the work!"
"[Member Name Removed] had water issues and we found a system that works best for his situation. Thank you for [Member Information Removed] work!"
"The water had low PH and high iron, I proposed a neutralizing filter and an aeration system. Once installed water was crystal clear. Thank you for the work!!!"
"[Member Name Removed] had an iron problem with her water and the current system was not correcting it. I installed a brand new filter and the iron is gone. Thanks [Member Name Removed] for the work!!!"
Nice guy: Price is probably fair; just that I always think everything is too expensive.
"[Member Name Removed] has two pump systems. These were over 30 years old and needed to be replaced, I did the work but have to go back in the spring to fix one of the parts not being able to get to in the winter. Great customer!"
I gave his price a rating of C only because I didn't get any other quotes so I can't really compare it. Tom and I never talked about how much it would cost and I didn't ask. I just needed water. At less than 4 hours from placing the call to having water back I certainly won't complain.
They have a 5 year parts AND labor warranty on their work which I also found impressive.
I whole-heartedly recommend Randy Marquis Well and Pump.
"We got the call and went right out to the job. The system was in need of complete replacement. Thank you for the work and stellar review."
"We were hired to install a point and things went great. Great people, liked working for them."
"I installed a system to remove Iron and arsenic. The job went well and the customer was awesome. Thank you for your business!"
"I got the call for a broken pipe. I arrived and the hole was dug and ready for me, simple fix. The repair only took a little while. Really nice people and I'm looking forward to working with them in the future. Thank you!"
He's been very responsive during the entire process and I'm happy with the work performed.
"called and was out of water. I went over and tried to get her current system going but it the point was clogged. I ind=formed her we could put in a new point but with what I had been seeing in the area it could be a waist of time and money. I let her decide what she was going to do. We also got a call from two of the houses next door, this made her mind up. We ended up drilling two wells one for and one of the houses next door. Once the well was done we quickly got the excavator there and did the hookup. Everything went good even with the winter cold coming in. Thank you for choosing marquis well & pump for you water needs."
After going through several different Angie's List reviews, Randy was the first person I called. I left a voicemail message, and within 2 minutes he had called me back and scheduled an appointment to check out the situation. He was able to come out that afternoon which put my mind at ease. Upon arrival, he was very thorough in his evaluation, explaining things as he went along. It was determined that although not completely failing (yet), that the water tank should be replaced along with installing a water filtration system to eliminate the sediment coming in through the pipes into the house. Randy didn't try to upsell anything, just gave me his opinion, and left it to me to decide on what work he would perform. I opted to get the tank & water filtration system both done.
The day of the repairs, Randy was actually early (nice!) and came ready to work. He got right to the job and did all the work we had discussed. He was prompt and efficient, and finished the job in a timely manner. He was personable, professional, and was clear in his explanations of the work he had performed. I had another service person come for a different job a couple of days later, and he even commented on the great job that Randy did installing the filtration system.
From start to finish, this was an excellent example of a job well done, and excellent customer service. Randy also advised me of some other potential issues to watch out for and that he would follow up in the summer to ensure that the system he had installed was performing as expected. I would highly recommend Randy to do any work within his scope of expertise.
"There was a problem with the water pressure and sentiment getting into the plumbing fixtures. After investigation of the issue I found the pressure tank needed to be replaced due to the age and lack of pressure. I explained the types of systems I could provide with the pricing options. We came up with a simple Twist 2 Clean filter that would be the least maintenance and cost to the customer. I arrived and installed the pressure tank and filter as discussed. In about an hour I was done. I explained the system and showed the installation of the items. Thank you for using Randy Marquis Well & Pump."
We decided 18 months ago to look at what could be done to fix these issues and start talking to vendors about solutions. Randy was the first vendor to come to our house and was very helpful. He spent over an hour thoroughly investigating our setup and doing a free water test. He was very easy going and friendly during his visit and was not ?salesy? at all. We got a proposal shortly after which looked like a solid solution at a reasonable price.
Not long after we had a second child and we ended up delaying the water repairs and only just got ready to get the work done in the last month (December 2014). We had three other vendors come to our house to do estimates. One of them looked over the system and then proceeded to bad-mouth competitors, but never followed up with a quote or return any of our follow-up emails. The other two offered similar proposals to Randy but were more expensive.
We eventually decided to go for a more high-end system than our original plan?opting for a Grundfos constant pressure system, along with a sediment filter and water softener. We called Randy last week and asked him for an updated estimate factoring in the constant pressure system and he had it back to us in less than 24 hours. His quote was competitive to others we received and we decided to go with him for the work.
A couple of days before the scheduled installation Randy let us know that he had a family issue come up and offered to do it a day earlier if that would work. We were able to work with that and he turned up promptly at the agreed upon time and got straight to work.
He installed the systems on schedule, including having to run out to his supplier to replace a faulty part. He did a beautiful job with the installations and showed great attention to detail. It is clear that he takes great pride in his work and loves what he does. In spending time talking to him while he worked it was easy to see that he is a genuinely nice guy too!
Unfortunately when he fired the new system up, the water pressure was great throughout the house for cold water, but there was no hot water at all. It turned out that the boiler mixer valve (which was previously in bad shape) had finally given up and the newly boosted pressure had caused some of the sediment to clog up in the water heating coil.
Obviously after investing in a high end system we were really bummed and stressed to not have hot water in the house and Randy was disappointed to leave us with a less than perfect situation even though it was no fault of his at all. We have known for a long time that the boiler wasn?t in great shape (we were already in the process of getting estimates to add an indirect-fired water heater to solve this problem), and Randy?s only crime was to be unlucky enough to be the guy standing there when the proverbial hit the fan.
Even though he had no obligation or reason to do so, he did offer us a discount because he was disappointed that we were not able to enjoy the new system as we had all been hoping. Before leaving he did his best to help us track down a heating technician to help us out ASAP, and then followed up with us the following day to see how we were getting along. It is abundantly clear that Randy genuinely cares about the satisfaction of his customers, and we can unreservedly recommend him to anyone.
"I installed a new constant pressure system, back flushing sentiment filter, and a water softener. The job went as normal and the system worked perfectly. The problem occurred after we started to pressurize the home. Due to years (from the previous owner) of sentiment, hardness, and iron a couple of valves and the coil in the boiler got clogged to the point that he had no hot water. I really felt so bad for the situation. I knew it primarily was not my fault but now the problem was there and so was I. The home owner was stressed and I tried to do what ever I could to get someone to fix the problem. Unfortunately things did not work out. They got someone the next day and things are working fine. Thank you for the work!"
"Like stated above I was hired to look at the well cap. Once on loaction, I looked over the entire system and explained the goods and bads of the system. I was there about an hour and did not perform any actual work. I was in the area and she was willing to wait for me so no bill was given. Sometimes people don't understand the systems and need some help. I'm pleased to meet Pat and am sure she will call if she has a problem in the future. Thanks Pat for calling me, Randy Marquis."
"The water pressure was really bad, I found the tank was water logged and the sediment filter was mostly clogged. I replaced the tank and showed them how to replace the filter. If the system was left alone any longer the pump would of failed in a short matter of time. Thank you for calling me and giving me your business."
"I was hired to get an estimate for an arsenic filter. I took a water test and with the results I found that we could remove the water softener and replace with an aeration system then an arsenic filter. Helen was having trouble with the large bags of salt for the softener. I was pleased that I could replace the current system with a system that would be less work for her. Helen is a great customer and has a very infectious personality. I'm pleased to meet such a special woman and have her as my customer. Thank you!!!!"
"Like most of the pump systems that fail prematurely the pressure tank was the issue. It made the pump short cycle and the whole system needed to be replaced. Things did work out so I could get them water that same day. What makes this job great is the opportunity to work with people like this. I have some of the best customers a business would want. Thank you for the work and if you need anything or have any questions don't hesitate to call. Thank you very much for choosing me."
