"I interview three roofing companies and one that cost a lot more but did the same type of roofing told me to go with Tar Heel ! The workmanship is top notch and they finished the job in one day, removing the old shingles and tar paper, replacing any roofing plywood that was damaged, and laying the tiger paw that is so much better than tar paper, and laying the new roofing materials in one day. "Service went great. Available dates were a little backed up but reasonable. The technicians, Mikey and Garret, showed up on time and called with a 20 min ETA. Service was well explained, with pictures, and honest assessment of the roof's condition was given without aggressive upselling. Work was conducted quickly and done well. You can replace a roof in the winter, though it’s not the most popular time to do so. The biggest drawback of winter roofing work is the weather. Snow and ice make for dangerous, slippery working conditions. Plus, shingles can only be installed in temperatures above 40 to 45 degrees.
