"Kurt (Distinct Landscapes) performed an exception makeover to our property. We have owned our home for 20 years, with an eye on a landscape design to the house front - that pops. What we inherited were azaleas and christmas trees that continued to grow more expansive over the years. I provided Kurt with my budget and blessing to take the necessary design/purchase/installation steps necessary to dazzle. He did not disappoint! Kurt was a joy to work with, paying several visits to our property to discuss proposed layout and educate newcomers concerning the finer points of horticulture - in laymen's terms. He was extremely responsive to preferences and concerns and made several modifications of his own - before installation date. What a makeover - Korean Boxwoods, Dward Red Barberries, Goldmound Spireas, Nandina Domestica, Chery Laurels Knockout Roses, A Purple Crape Myrtle and Dragon Lady Holly species ... to name a few. Kurt did not overcrowd the design, but allowed sufficient spacing for future growth ... definitely planning for the longer range investment. "Mr. DiFatta responded immediately to my initial inquiry. Where other contractors wanted to tear down the wall, Mr. DiFatta said he could just remove the deteriorated bricks and replace them (over 150 of them!). His estimate was reasonable and he let me know that the project would not begin for about a month due to prior commitments to other customers. Our house was built in the 1970s, and the color/size brick is no longer made. Mr. DiFatta worked with me to get as close a match as possible. The work was done as scheduled, and the fellows doing the work did an amazing job of blending the new brick with the old. They were professional, cleaned up each day, and now that the job is done, the wall looks amazing. We will definitely use Mr. DiFatta again for any masonry work we may need.

"The drywall repair was excellent. I could not ask for more, or better. The patches that needed fixing were extremely large, and you cannot tell that anything was done. If all you need is drywall repair, stop reading now, and hire Kargman's. Our main thoughts were that they did a great job, eventually. They had to come out and fix things twice and that shows great customer service and responsiveness. We just would prefer not having multiple trips. The carpentry ended up being excellent as well, and it was an admittedly tough job getting baseboards attached to brick, and trim along the walls where drywall met the brick. The main issue we had was that there were some sloppy places at first that needed Kargman's to come back out and fix. They were great in doing this, and bent over backwards to come out and do it again, but it would have been better not to have to have anyone come back out. The real issue we had was with the painting. Eventually, it all looks great and the final product is perfect. It's just that they had to come back out and clean up painted over faceplates, trim, and a door. They did eventually get it pretty much right, but it took a while. So again, everything turned out great and looks great, but it's not above average or done on the first try, so we couldn't give an A."
