"Filled in and removed the planters, fixed the structure of the wall and added proper drainage and dressed the wall with beautiful stone capped with bluestone. The finished product is gorgeous. "The jackhammered the concrete around the entire perimeter and installed drain pipes, put in a sump pump, and recemented the floors. Prompt courteous and professional.
They need to come back to do some minor additional work, but the what they did do was very well done.

Concrete Walls questions, answered by experts

The longevity of flood walls depends on how they were constructed, but most wood, gravel, and cement flood walls last 10 years. While aluminum flood walls may cost far more initially, they can be a good investment as they can last decades and will not be damaged by exposure to the elements.

The ideal base for concrete is even, firm, and permeable to encourage drainage. Depending on your project's weight requirements, a combination of gravel, sand, or other aggregates is best. While you can technically pour concrete over grass, dirt, or an old piece of concrete, you risk threatening the concrete's stability.

Yes. Foundation walls are always load-bearing.

Homeowners can increase the usefulness of their garage space in other ways, and one option is to extend the length of the garage by making it deeper. The process is similar to traditional garage extensions, but the end product is a garage with a different layout rather than additional parking spaces.

With proper installation and sealing, both poured concrete and cinder block walls can be durable options for your yard or home. Poured concrete walls do offer more durability and strength, but cinder block walls are less expensive to build and DIY. A concrete wall costs an average of $6,500.
