The crew cleaned up well and walked me through the work they had done. They installed a new drain and sump pump. "$9,500 I was quoted for my concrete driveway and porch to be removed and a new concrete driveway and pad poured. I needed a culvert installed under the foot of my driveway for rain water drainage, it was agreed that a 4" pipe would work. When the crew came out to do the work, the demolition part went very smoothly but when it came to the drain I was told I needed an 8" pipe. The trench was dug for it including digging an 8" deep by 1 foot around hole in my nabors parking pad. Than I was told the grading was wrong. I told him water wasn't draining because the trench he dug for the 8" pipe he suggested was below the rest of the drain lines and the water will not flow untill it was leveled back out. He argued with me about it for about 3 hours wile the concrete was starting to be poured. After his own workers and I told him the 8" pipe would not work, we went back to the originally quoted 4" pipe and everything drained fine. After the concrete was completed the work looked great."

"We requested estimates from 2 companies, Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and Surfside Plumbing.  Benjamin Franklin responded punctually and gave us a written estimate.  We wanted to check prices so we called Surfside.  It took a couple of calls, but my husband finally spoke with the owner of Surfside.  He said it wasn't necessary to come out and look at the job and he quoted an hourly rate and an estimate of 1 to 3 hours to complete the job.  His estimate was considerably lower than Benjamin Franklin.  We told him we'd buy the sink and faucets and call to schedule an appointment.  Within a week we had both.  We called to schedule. 

The owner answered our call after several tries to reach him and said he would call back when reached his office.  No return call.  After a few days we finally called and spoke to the owner.  He said he would be out the next day.  He came out and suggested that the sink we purchased would not work well with our silestone counter top.  I agreed and we decided to buy a better quality sink.  Within a week we had the new sink.   Again we tried to schedule an appointment.  It took about a week to finally connect with the owner.  Our sink was finally installed.  The men that were sent to do the work did a great job.  And we saved a couple hundred dollars on installation.  Even considering the problems with scheduling, I think the owner tries to accommodate customers too much, we are very happy with the work that was done.

"2 day job. Guys were great. Tough work. Work finished by 5PM next day. Water entered crawl space due to exit pipe not being properly sealed. Water running down wall and not entering draining system. I was told  by boss that someone would be out Friday 9/13AM to fix. I told him I would not be available due to already spending 2 days at home. Guy came Saturday and plugged hole. 1st big storm no water. All good."
