Tradesmen Plumbing TA Surfside

Hired to fix a leak in my bathroom. Applied some caulk to the shower and reset the toilet. Charged me $500 for this and didn't fix the leak. You may be better using your money as a heat source in the furnace rather than dealing with this inept company. Absolute Fail.

Paul and associates did a terrific job. The installation went very well. The unit used was not the typical unit because our house I'd so large. Paul utilized a hot water distributor from our old hot water heater. We now have instant hot water all over the house.
I will use Surfside in the future!

Albout 14 units replaced but there were some issues with cabinets that had to be repaired since the employee damaged the doors. The damaged was repaired. There was a clall back on several of the heaters but that was a function of the heater manufacturer. These items were addressed and put in working order. There was some concern that the heaters were seconds but we were assured that this was not the case. I think the job was too large and smaller jobs will be handled apropriately

Was out following morning after previous evening phone call. Paul had our water up and running in no time at all

I should start off by saying I have a warranty company contracted for home repairs, I pay the first $60.00 and they cover the rest of qualifying repairs.  They also pick the company who will preform the service. So that being said here is my experience with Surfside Plumbing;

May 29th - I reported a plumbing leak to the warranty company, they assign Surfside Plumbing on Friday the 30th and tell me that Surfside Plumbing will be on the 30th.

May 30th - The owner showed up and because the exterminator was doing our spring service he decided that he would come back on the 31st.

May 31st -  The owner of Surfside showed up looked at the leak and said and found an additional leak under our house and said that he will send one of his guys  out on Monday, June 2nd at 8:30 am.

June 2nd -  NO SHOW after my wife took off work to be there!, I called him at 8:30 pm and received a BS excuse.

June 3rd -  His guy shows up late afternoon and fixes one leak buy not how the owner said they were going to do it, took a short cut!  Said he had to pick up a part to fix the other leak and would be back on Wednesday June 4th.

June 4th - NO SHOW!

June 5th - NO SHOW!, I called the warranty company who in turn called Surfside Plumbing and was told by the owner that he would finish the job on Friday, June 6th.

June 6th - NO SHOW!

June 7th - NO SHOW!

June 8th - NO SHOW!

June 9th -  Called warranty company again, STILL WAITING!!!

COMPLETELY WORTHLESS AND UNRELIABLE PIECE OF CRAP!!!!!!!!!

It went fine. They showed up on short notice and they have reasonable price. I would recommend them. They were confident.

We requested estimates from 2 companies, Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and Surfside Plumbing.  Benjamin Franklin responded punctually and gave us a written estimate.  We wanted to check prices so we called Surfside.  It took a couple of calls, but my husband finally spoke with the owner of Surfside.  He said it wasn't necessary to come out and look at the job and he quoted an hourly rate and an estimate of 1 to 3 hours to complete the job.  His estimate was considerably lower than Benjamin Franklin.  We told him we'd buy the sink and faucets and call to schedule an appointment.  Within a week we had both.  We called to schedule. 

The owner answered our call after several tries to reach him and said he would call back when reached his office.  No return call.  After a few days we finally called and spoke to the owner.  He said he would be out the next day.  He came out and suggested that the sink we purchased would not work well with our silestone counter top.  I agreed and we decided to buy a better quality sink.  Within a week we had the new sink.   Again we tried to schedule an appointment.  It took about a week to finally connect with the owner.  Our sink was finally installed.  The men that were sent to do the work did a great job.  And we saved a couple hundred dollars on installation.  Even considering the problems with scheduling, I think the owner tries to accommodate customers too much, we are very happy with the work that was done.

It took a little while to get him to do the job, but once he was able to it was done quickly and professionally.

I was not satisfied with the outcome of that second visit, but I was so proud of them the first time I had them come out.  The issue was so small so it's not overwhelming.  While they fix the leaks in the pipes, they left and I was not able to use it for outdoors.  There was one hose that was not cut off, and then the water was left on.  The hose just scattered the water out, and flooded my back lawn.  The owner came out the next day to discuss the issue.  My husband suggested that we just cut that hose off since it would solve our problems, and the understudy would come back probably the next day or so to cut the hose off.  However, I haven't seen them.  That job was not finished.  I paid for the repair, and I just felt like I paid for something to get fixed but I was left with an unusable plumbing system. 

The installation was perfect.  Kevin and Willie did a great job installing the new hot water heater.  Paul Miller stopped by to inspect the job to make sure all was well, and it was.  They removed the old water heater, and cleaned up.

The plumbing portion of the contract was mostly satisfactory. The contractors employees were unprofessional and careless in the use of the facilities in the various apartments. The job was too large and the contractor brought in extra help that were inexperienced and caused additional problems

We called on a Sunday because our hot water pipe under the house was
leaking. John & Will arrived within an hour. They had to crawl on
their stomachs in cold water to get to the pipe, which is located in our
crawlspace. They fixed the leak in an hour, They were courteous,
professional, and quick! Plus, we heard no complaining about the small,
wet space they had to work in. We had another plumbing pipe that needed
fixed, and they recommended that we have them come back the next day
because the Monday rate was cheaper. We appreciate that kind of
consideration.

Nice person. Knowledgeable. On time. Pleasure to work with. Would do business with them again.

Called the night before and told them I had turned my water off so it was not an emergancy, so he said he would call me the next morning it was around 11 am when he call and tech was out around 4 pm to look at problem.  He gave me an estiment and then said they would be out the next morning.  The next day once they got there the work was done in a timly manner.  They had to dig up the old pipe from the water main to and under the house.  My origanal out facuet was out of code needed to be after the water cutout valve in the house.  The hooked up a new one that meet code.  I wished they wolud have put the dirt on a tarp or even on the drive so the only are that was affected was were the ditch was dug.  I know in time the grass will grow through were the dirt was but it looks bad at this time.  Over all I was very satisfied withthe work that was done.  The next day I lost pressure in my shower so I called them and he said to check to see if I have pressure somewhere eles.  I ended taking my shower head of and let the water run then all was good. 

It went very well.  Our kitchen faucet wouldn't turn off.  Surfside came when they said.  They checked out the problem.  There was some difficulty in removing the faucet, but they did.  A part was needed which they went to get and then came back and installed it.  It works better than ever.  The price seemed very reasonable.  We would definitely use them again.

I had a lot of water pooling in my back yard.  I could not find the source.  I called Sufside Plumbing because they had some reviews on-line.  Most were favorable.  The owner showed up within 45 minutes, and evaluated the problem, deciding I must have a leak under the house.  He promised that one of his workers would arrive later in the day to fix.  Good to his word, the employee arrived several hours later, confirmed the problem.  After calling in a pump truck to pump out 6" of water under the house, he repaired the leak.  He was professional, courteous, and effective.  The whole process took less than 1 hour. The actual repair bill was fair and just.   I was very impressed.  I would use them again.

The work was done well and in a timely manner.  The plumber was very careful.  He was respectful and made sure he did not do any additonal damage or track dirt into the house or bathroom.  I would hire Surfside again.

I called Surfside in advance to set up an appointment and was advised to call on the day of service.  The day we needed them, I called at approximately 12:30 PM and they arrived to install the new toilet an hour or so later.  The plumber did a very good job, removed the old toilet, disposed of it, and installed the new one.  He insured it was solidly seated, and cleaned up the entire area before he left.  We were very pleased not only with the responsiveness of Surfside, but also the work of the plumber who responded to our call.  If needed, we will surely use them again.

I used Surfside Plumbing and Paul Miller to install a 50-gallon water heater earlier in the summer. Since I was pleased with his work on the water heater, I hired Surfside Plumbing, again, to remove and replace two old, original toilets. Paul and his assistant arrived on-time with the new toilets. Paul and his assistant do all the manual labor, with Paul doing most of the "heavy lifting." They worked quickly and efficiently, and ensured that my place was clean at the end of the installation. I waited to file this report to make sure the toilets remained in good working order for a few months, which they are. I believe Paul and Surfside Plumbing are very competent, and give you a fair price for their work. If you qualify, make sure you ask Paul for a senior discount. I plan on using Surfside Plumbing whenever I need plumbing work in Ocean City, Maryland.

They were quick to come, and the quality of the work was very good. They were very flexible in their scheduling.
