"While it is normal for remodeling projects to create chaos and to be the muse of many a horror story, this ended up with a very pleasant end result. We had a complete renovation down to the studs to bring things up to code, which included ripping out the sub flooring and quite a bit of pipes. Parts were ordered and lost and found. Things went on backorder and were discontinued. We fortunately had a fantastic crew. Ismar (the contractor) did an awesome job of making sure that everything was done to spec and built beautifully. He followed our wishes and came back on the weekend and late to be sure the work was done right. The only real challenges were with the design and oversight from the office, between the designer losing our design specs on the first pass and not communicating proactively about delays or back orders, but thankfully these were more annoyance than problem. After a few handoffs, we got Eric E. as project manager, and he saw us through the rest of the project with much better results and only about 30% oversight still needed from us. Overall, we got a great bathroom out of the deal, so 4 stars."

"Joe and his crew were an absolute pleasure to work with for our basement remodel. Weâ ve worked with various general contractors in the past, but weâ re never completely satisfied with the work. Joe took our unfinished basement and made it into a beautiful industrial style hangout. They kept to the design we had in mind and added some awesome extra touches. They also made sure that it was quality work that would last. No corners were cut. Even after the final walkthrough, Joe made sure no stone was unturned. His crew was kind, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. They kept us up to date throughout the day. I would highly recommend them and we will definitely be using them in the future."

"Our new kitchen is beautiful, functional, and better than we could have imagined. AES transformed our cramped, galley-style kitchen into a show piece. Overall, the process was fairly smooth from design through execution. We enjoyed working with their interior designer/concierge person, Shawna—picking materials and products was a breeze, and we had the benefit of AES's direct relationship with some quality vendors. Furthermore, they produced good-quality architectural 3-D renderings which were very helpful for the design process. One nice anecdote: At the beginning, I let AES know that I wanted to do painting (to save a bit of money, and to do it to my liking). The kitchen crew still did fantastic wall prep—perfectly primed and smooth. The kitchen crew also carefully removed the old cabinetry intact and in good condition, allowing me to donate it eventually. I have one word of warning for customers undertaking any similar remodel: avoid Best Buy if you can! AES typically brings their clients to Best Buy for picking out appliances. While we were super happy with the products we bought, dealing with Best Buy was a nightmare. One appliance arrived damaged and Best Buy gave both us AND our AES rep the run-around trying to get it replaced. Thankfully, AES had our back and it was finally sorted and the appliance re-installed by the wonderful kitchen crew. The kitchen was finished sooner than expected too, with no loss to attention to detail."

"Over three years ago I fortunate to find Taylor Made Custom Contracting to work with on the remodel of my newly purchased 1959 house in Bel Air. Kevin was a joy to work with and totally got the remodel I was trying to do, which was easier said than done. Some of the features I wanted were nontraditional to say the least, and on top of that I had not actually moved into the house yet. Kevin had the additional pressure of working with me long distance! With all of that on the table, the construction job could not have gone more smoothly, thanks to Kevin's flexibility and the skills of the crew, and lots of texts, emails, calls, and photo tours. I did manage to make a couple of trips to visit while the house was under construction, so I was able to see the process from the framework up to the finish. The first thing I noticed was the complete care that the team took with each phase of the remodel, and the beauty of the finished product. In the end, the finished remodel far exceeded my original vision and three years later I am still in love with my new home. I was so satisfied that I have called on Kevin several times, since the original remodel, for other projects. Last year, Kevin and his team completed a beautiful backyard porch for us, that we still ask ourselves how we did without.
