"I do not normally write reviews, but I feel like I should let other people know about this company. I could write an entire essay on my experience with them but I will try and keep it short. I hired HL to redo my entire front lawn with new walkways, retaining walls, plants, mulch, and trees. I spent over $17,000 and thought I was getting a great deal. Dave and his group were very nice at first but once work had begun things quickly changed. They would say nice stuff to my face but I would catch them saying bad things about me behind my back. They had horrible communication with me, they rushed to get to the next job, and I had several problems with their work. The amount of stress they caused me was truly unfair to me. I eventually got most of the problems fixed. One of those problems was they did not install weed fabric under all my beds as discussed. They came back and fixed it but did a horrible job. They also put barely enough mulch back to cover the fabric and dirt so now I have a literal jungle in most areas. I was not happy before I paid but no amount of money is worth the issues they caused me. They even put grass seed in the mulched areas that are now grass. I would have tried to get them to come back out for the fourth time but it is not worth the stress. I expect a little maintenance but my yard looks nothing that was agreed to. I will have to fix it myself in the spring but I had to write this review because everyday I look at my yard and I am not pleased. Reading the other reviews makes mine stick out but I would not recommend them. Spend your money on a better company. UPDATE: Owner reached out to remedy the issue. They came out and pulled out all old mulch, weed, and weed fabric and replaced them. Looks much better. They seem to have taken more care this time and I hope it works. Fabric seems to have been put down better with more mulch too. I hope the mulch is deep enough with a combination of fabric to stop most weeds in the spring."

"They arrived on time every day. Worked very neat, placing protective covering on floor, carpet and exterior surfaces they came in contact with. Best of all the job was well done with no issues. Extremely happy with this project, as anyone who has done home improvements you know it can be stressful. This project had zero stress! Highly recommend."

While regularly checking to ensure that the project was proceeding according to our desires, and repeatedly saying that it was our wall and we needed to like it, they acted like it was their wall and they would have to live with it. That attention to detail indicated that they take great pride in their work, which then ensures that the customer will be just as proud."

They did a great job, they were here on time, worked all day for two days, cleaned up and did it for a solid price. It's good to find young guys with a good work ethic. "Re designed 2 privacy gates. Exceptional craftsmanship, custom made, perfect, and crew is very respectful of property. Cleaned up everything and the price was unbeatable. I wanted to show off by home advisor.com has to increase image size, instead of quantity of pictures. All my pictures are too large to load. I am glad I went with this contractor and you should too, if you don’t want to get taken advantage of, specially if you are a woman. I only recommend Victors Contracting and nobody else."
