"Koogle Removal was very smooth and efficient. I’ve had other removal companies in the past and they would leave a mess, when Koogle left everything was spotless. Very respectful and easy to work with, he’s my go to for any removal services. Definitely recommend."

"My yard is now beautiful and my wallet is not that much lighter for it. Mac & Sons did a fantastic job cleaning up my yard, including weed killing and removal, mulching, and placing river rock and ground fabric in several areas. Will definitely be hiring them in the future."

"These people were everything I wanted in a company/landscaper. They made a prompt appointment to give me a free estimate and kept it. He was young, which worried me but he seemed like a good person and I wanted to give a young company a chance. The person making the appointment was lovely, very friendly and accommodating, Dakota. So they showed up on Sunday, although I told them there was no hurry. I didnâ t want anyone to work on a Sunday on my behalf. It was intermittently raining. They kept at it. They did a fall cleanup (which was really a couple of years of need) on the front and sides of my home. Itâ s beautiful. I wouldnâ t change a thing. Thank you all!"

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

The EPA enforces hazardous waste laws and ensures people dispose of their hazardous waste responsibly. Depending on where you live, your state’s hazardous waste regulatory agency may also enforce these laws. Individually, it’s up to each household to properly dispose of their hazardous waste.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), hazardous waste is generally classified into four main categories:

1. Characteristic Wastes: These exhibit at least one of four hazardous traits: ignitability (flammable, like gasoline), corrosivity (can rust or decompose materials, like car batteries), reactivity (unstable and can explode, like aerosol cans), or toxicity (harmful when ingested, like lead-based paint).

2. Listed Wastes: These are specific wastes from manufacturing and industrial processes that the EPA has officially designated as hazardous. They include byproducts from processes that use solvents, pesticides, and other chemicals.

3. Universal Wastes: These are commonly generated hazardous items that are subject to streamlined regulations. Examples include batteries, pesticides, mercury-containing equipment (e.g., bulbs), and some lamps.

4. Mixed Wastes: This category includes waste that contains both hazardous and radioactive components, making it subject to regulation by both the EPA and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

You do not have to remove lead paint if the surface is not chipping or peeling or if there are no pregnant people or children under the age of six who live in or regularly visit your home. Lead paint is a particular risk for young children whose brains and bodies are not fully developed. Experts strongly recommend that you call a pro to remove lead paint if it’s peeling or flaking, no matter who lives in the home. You can experience lead poisoning by breathing in or ingesting just a small amount of it.

Follow recommendations for removal or remediation to ensure a safe living environment.

Chlorine has a shelf life of between six months and several years, depending on its type and formulation. Liquid chlorine can often lose its effectiveness in just a few weeks. Pool owners can find themselves with overstock that they need to get rid of. The best way to dispose of excess chlorine is to take it to a hazardous waste collection site and let the pros handle it.
