I was surprised when he told me that because of the make of lock in the doorknob, simply making a replacement key was not possible--I would need the lock replaced. I relied on his judgement in this matter, telling him to proceed. He had a replacement in his tool box, removed the previous unit and inserted the new lock in an efficient manner. "Not the greatest results - I have used this company before and been very pleased. They were pricey, but the quality of the work was worth it. This was not the case this last time. The technician cracked the door jamb in two places while replacing the door, left paint splatters on the floor and on the side of the door which was not supposed to be painted and messed up the handset on the door. He did repair most of these issues (the paint splatters I cleaned up myself with paint thinner), but since he worked by the hour I ended up paying for that too."
