"They covered our entire 1/2 acre property which a few years back was the runner-up in the Baltimore Sun's best gardens review. Edged and cleared out all of our beds, spread 10 yards of mulch, and rebuilt a 70 yard long french drain. Our neighbors commented "It's looks like something you see in a magazine." We agree! Instead of focusing on a number, it may be more useful to understand how contractors customize asphalt for durability, climate, and traffic conditions.

Asphalt dries and cures best between 50 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit. This range allows moisture to evaporate quickly without causing the asphalt to cool too fast, which can negatively affect the drying process.
