"Dear Mr. Baker. Thank you for your review. As you can see from our other online reviews, we make it a point to be known for customer service and outstanding workmanship. We apologize that your experience with our company did not match your expectations. Since we set such an exceptionally high standard, it is worthwhile to address some of the issues raised in your review. In July of 2022, we built a beautiful 2000 sq ft backyard patio for you at your home in Laurel, Maryland. I worked personally with you on the design and layout features for this project for over five months. During this process, we did our best to accommodate your numerous requests, but I apologize for being unable to help with a few. No, we cannot back-date our insurance certificate to. help you out with an insurance audit problem.? To clarify, it is not that we are un-insured or underinsured (we are 100% properly insured) it is just that I was not willing to alter legal documents for you. We were also unable/unwilling to help when you asked us to take a substantial deposit check, then write a ? payment? from that deposit to some unidentified third party that you owed money. Both of your requests seem unethical if not illegal. From the moment our crew set foot on your property you tried to find ways to reduce the contracted price of the job while simultaneously trying to increase the planned footprint of the patio. For two weeks, you ran from worker to worker, yelling and cursing trying to get us to make the patio larger than planned for free. Not only me and my crew but also the electrical crew and irrigation crew you had on site were subject to this behavior. You became so irate with the electrical crew that they gave up, dropped their tools, and walked off the site. Mr. Baker, you shouted and cursed at every Hispanic worker on your property during the entire project. A white, middle-aged man screaming at the top of his lungs at Spanish workers in his gated community? Then call us a ? white privilege company?? This makes no sense. You are correct. We did have to sue you for non-payment after you chose to not allow us on your property to finish up the few punch list items you are showing in the photos. Trying to use those items to get out of paying for the job almost worked. Thankfully, since we adhered to every specification, local code, and ordinance, and followed every detail in the contract (including the site plans) we were awarded judgment for non-payment/ breach of contract. You are the first customer we have even had to? take to court? and very hopefully the last. The only ? scam? here is a customer who does not want to pay for a beautifully installed job when it is finished."
