"Great! He arrived on time, with the right amount of crew, tools and positive attitude! He was very experienced with Ikea cabinets and knew when we had purchased the wrong items. He also knew when to send me back to Ikea for different parts. Ikea made alot of mistakes and he knew that was common. He wrote down the numbers of the items i needed which was extremely helpful. He and his crew were fantastic and i would hire him again in the future. His prices were very reasonable and i appreciated that. I had two glass doors that were on back order so he said i could hold back $200 from his pay until they czme in. I called him on Sunday and told him i just picked them up. He told me they would be there on Monday morning to finish the job. Of course he arrived on time and he finished the job quickly. Of the 4 companies i hired to do various things in my kitchen his was the only one i didnt have issues with. I asked him to install the lights inside and underneath the cabinets and install the microwave. The lights were difficult but he worked hard until they were done. They make the whole kitchen shine! He was extremely reasonable with the microwave installation price. I asked him for several cards and already passed them out to people that wanted a new kitchen i told them he is the best installer i ever hired. He made this overwhelming project so much easier."

"The salesperson was very low pressure and allowed us to take our time making the decision. He had several suggestions that changed our original concept for the sunroom that improved the end result substantially. The crew was very particular that the end results would look good. They were able to integrate the shed roof from the family room with the peaked sunroom roof so it look as if has always been there. The site was meticulous at the end of every day. The end result is beautiful and we love the sunroom. However, the project took much longer than originally estimated becasue the crew was spilt between our project and another project."

"They have done several window jobs for me. They are excellent. They come within the time frame of their contract. They give you good quality work. If you have any problem with their work they will fix it. I had a problem with my 2005 door and they came took the door down, serviced it, and put it back up without any charge. They stand behind their work and want you to be happy."

Awnings questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can convert a fabric awning to a metal one. You just need to swap the fabric for metal panels, which are more durable and weather-resistant. However, the support frame will probably need reinforcement to handle the added weight. You should consult a pro to address any structural concerns.

Yes, you can replace just the fabric on an awning without having to replace the entire awning frame and hardware. This process will take a professional about one to two hours. If you want to DIY, it could take longer, especially for large or retractable awnings. Replacing the fabric on an awning can improve the look of your home and help naturally cool your interior and exterior spaces.

Regularly clean with mild detergent and water, and inspect for rust or damage.

Awnings offer a variety of materials to choose from, each of which has its own benefits. Cotton is a lower-cost option that’s also more eco-friendly because it’s made from natural materials, while acrylic-coated polyester and vinyl offer better durability against harsh weather. Fiberglass and metal are also resilient to weather, although metal can be vulnerable to corrosion without protective sealant. Ultimately, you’ll need to consider your climate and your budget in deciding the best material for your awning.

Metal awnings are durable, low-maintenance, and provide shade and weather protection.
