"Jay’s Handyman was very professional, clean, fast and the price was very reasonable. He called the same day and made an appointment for an estimate the same day I opened this project on Angi. He came to power wash my cement apron in front of my garage, front steps, sidewalk and platform the very next business day. He did such a great job I had him do my entire house, side and back siding, bricked front, garage doors, cinder blocks, back porch and driveway. If I could give him a rating of 1000 I would. No doubt I would recommend him to my entire neighborhood. That’s just what I am going to do. I got several of his business cards to give my neighbors, friends and family. Please hire him you want be disappointed."

Yes, painter’s tape is a great tool when painting trim and walls for a number of reasons. Firstly, it protects the areas you’re not painting. Both brushes and rollers can splatter. Nobody’s hands are perfect, so covering the areas you don’t want paint to get on keeps them clean. Painters tape can also help you get nice sharp lines between paint colors or surfaces, preventing paint from bleeding into other areas. While we can’t stop you, we don’t recommend using ceiling paint on walls. Ceiling paint is designed to be flat and less durable, which means it won’t stand up well to scrubbing or regular contact. It’s often limited in color selection. If you’re painting a low-traffic area, such as a closet, ceiling paint might work in an absolute pinch. But for most walls, it’s worth using a more durable, wall-specific formula.

The disadvantages of whitewash paint can start when mixing the paint. Too much water can cause chipping and peeling later because the substrate did not fully absorb the solution. It's also difficult to control the consistency of the paint, resulting in an uneven finish. Remember, achieving desired results with whitewash demands skill and patience, as improper techniques can result in streaks, uneven coverage, or premature flaking, adding complexity to the process.

Feel free to bring in whites, creams, grays, and light browns for wall colors. For flooring, opt for natural wood colors or darker wood stains. Shades of blue, green, lavender, and brown can all evoke a sense of calm when used as bedroom paint colors. Blues and greens are traditionally associated with rest and relaxation, but soothing lavenders and rich browns can also be visually soothing to allow you a good night’s sleep.
