The rooms are beautiful. We love the color and the crown molding. Eric was absolutely wonderful to work with, as were the painters and carpenter who did the job. They helped us out with the timing and speed of their work. Eric also helped me pick the shade of our room - as in, what would look best with the room, the light, etc. and helped me choose a lighter color which works perfectly with our home. Definitely recommend their work!

Surfaces were not well prepared, paint droppings were extensive and , most critical, there was substantial peeling thereafter. The peeling was the result of the poor preparation. The contractor, Eric Blitte, blamed the nature of the paint which was simply an excuse.The contractor did not respond to our request to correct the work.
We ultimately hired a new contractor to do the work. His work has been successful using the same paint.

Our house looks fantastic. The team at Tenleytown Painting are awesome. Very professional, thorough and friendly. I can't recommend them enough. We are ecstatic with the final results!

They get an and ldquo;Aand rdquo; across the board. They are professional. They did what they said they will do. Their price is highly competitive. They are just outstanding. They are someone who takes responsibility.

I have used Tenleytown painting 3 or 4 times. They are always reasonable. Price include all materials and paint. They dont just paint, they put a lot of time in to prep the area for paint first.

All went along smoothly until the bathroom leak required the removal of half of the ceiling in order for the plumber to make his repairs. The repair to the ceiling was done exceptionally well such that there is no way to distinguish the plastered area from the drywall. The same for the dining room repair to a large area that had a yellow water stain and the ceiling had to be opened for the plumber. Excellent repair to both areas.
Eric suggested that rather than using all off white on the walls and woodwork, that we use off-white on the walls and white on the woodwork which turned out to be a great suggestion and it looks beautiful.
The painters were receptive to our requests for adjustments, cleaned up at the end of each day and were easy to work with.

This company provided extremely poor service and quality. First, they tried to explain to me that they could not really prepare the surfaces properly given environmental regulations (which was false, I checked). After the first coat, the paint was peeling the next day. If I had not been there asking questions, insisting that they come and inspect the work, we would have paid thousands of dollars for peeling paint. Moreover, whenever I raised an issue, it was at first dismissed as attributable to my understandable ignorance about these matters. Except that I was correct. It took them 3 tries to get the exterior window trim painted correctly, and it was a lot of work dealing with them to ensure that they did. They also used the wrong type of paint -- more than once. First it was not flat, then they reversed the colors, putting the trim color on the house and the house color on the trim. then they forgot to do the power washing, so I had to remind them. Although they were willing to fix all these issues eventually, the amount of time and stress it cost me to get it done right was ridiculous. I will never use them for anything again.

They were great guys. They were very quiet and they cared about our plants. They kept the house very clean on the inside and it was dust free. It was a great experience. It was pleasant to have them around. They have been in business for about 30 years.

We used Tenleytown Painting to get our house ready to sell. The house was well over 100 years old and there were many spots where plaster had been repaired inexpertly over the years, resulting in a generally wavy or uneven surface. Tenleytown's prep work was just amazing. They essentially re-plastered with a skimcoat two entire rooms. The team was efficient and got the job done in two days and then came back to do some touch-up. End result was a very professional looking job.

Good work, reasonably priced, responsive and professional.

Painters showed up on time, but worked way too fast. I don't think they put the required number of coats. Work was sloppy and uneven. I should have known, because price given by Eric, the supervisor, as the lowest I received. On the other hand, Eric was very responsive and tried to fix the mistakes and worked hard to get my satisfaction. But overall, I think they are working too fast and too sloppy.

They did a great job. Very reasonable. They did what they said they were going to do and were very efficient.

He was personable, professional and knowledgeable. He did a great job and was on time. He was also within budget. I would recommend him to others for interior or exterior painting needs.

The job went well. They were very punctual, showed up with a large crew and got the work done quickly. A very efficient operation.
