"Excellent job all around. The work was done in late March, 2019, but I waited to post this review until after a heavy rainstorm. The storm of July 8, 2019 (>4"/hr) would normally have caused water to seep up through the concrete floor. After the storm, there was not even a drop. The sump was dry. The job was messy: jackhammers and lots of dust. They left it clean. One cannot even see where they cut the lawn to get the pipe to the curb. My only critique is that the new concrete poured to replace the broken floor should have been completely leveled. From initial estimate to installation, excellent work."

After discussions on the correct equipment, they provided additional effort to be sure the wi-fi backup equipment was installed and was working efficiently. Any questions on installation and operation I had were answered on-the-spot and with ease. System seems great and I now have peace of mind during a bad storm or if the power should go out. "I had a great experience with Best Buy waterproofing. I contacted them for inspection due to water rising underneath my tile in the basement. They responded very quickly and had someone out for the inspection a day later. Ed completed my inspection and was very informative and communicative throughout the whole process. He didnâ t try to scare me into getting any services and was very patient with me. Any questions I had he was on it and available. When I made my final decision it was quick and a painless process. The crew cleaned up well and walked me through the work they had done. They installed a new drain and sump pump. Might I add they made my installation very esthetic by placing the line in the wall to hide the pipes when the dry wall is replaced. I will definitely recommend to friends and family!"

"We have been working with Affordable for a couple of years now. To put it lightly, we have the basement from hell. When they arrived, we had some water in the basement and they quoted us based on their normal pricing. Once the concrete came up, we couldn't believe what we were dealing with. It is a constant flow of water that required two sump pits and an insane amount of work to install our drainage system. Every time they tried to dig a pit it would backfill with sand and water- they had to dig this up painstakingly- foot by foot. We thought for sure we were in for additional costs, but they stuck by the original estimate. Since then, any time we have had an issue or a question, they are quick to answer. Poor Kelly and Bobby probably recognize our number on the caller ID but whenever we make a call or send an email, we always get a response- usually with a visit on the same day. We highly recommend this company for their honesty, customer service, and quality work."

"I can’t say enough GREAT THINGS about Julio and his crew! He was so helpful with our family home landscaping (where no one presently lives) to cleanup and weed and mulch and fill in what we thought was a medium sized sinkhole. He found a much larger issue and was able to completely and professionally fix the problem. He not only texted me but did FaceTime to show me the problems and gave me a complete list of steps and charges. He also took photos step by step to show exactly what was done. He also provided a detailed receipt which I needed since the house is on the market to be sold. I HIGHLY recommend this company. He is trustworthy and shows up when he says and fairly priced with huge value."

"I have a large basement - ever since Hurricane Sandy I have had water leakage into the basement after a big rain - which continued to get worse. JES installed an internal drain system that is working great! The installation crew of Mizael, Cedrick, Dionte and Keenan did an excellent job of professionally installing the drain and cleaning up afterwards. "After receiving 3 quotes for replacing my deteriorating retaining wall, I chose J&R Chavez Landscaping. Positive reviews, the owner’s assessment, and a reasonable estimate convinced me. I accepted their bid on December 29, 2025. J&R submitted the permit request two days later. Unfortunately, the permit was approved on February 13, 2026, outside contractor control. Work began on February 16, with a good crew working when weather permitted. Delays due to quite bad winter were unavoidable. They discovered the old wall lacked a proper footing so the estimate was adjusted to install a new footing. Jose was transparent about necessary adjustments. The installation took until April 4, 2026, due to weather delays and town inspections. I’m very pleased with the strong, well-drained wall. I enjoyed dealing with J&R Chavez Landscaping with two small issues, communication about delays could be improved and Jose never got back to me about some agreed post job landscaping. Still, great job."

"Overall, I had an outstanding experience with everyone from John Krause Construction. Their customer service was most impressive. They asked about and worked around my schedule, were all prompt, courteous and friendly, and showed a true desire to complete the work to my satisfaction. Their explanations of the work to be done and the time it would take were clear and accurate. They started the work in less than a week after I signed the contract, and completed it in a week. This was well beyond my expectations since a lot needed to be done, including drywall repair and painting some hard to reach areas, shingle repair, gutter cleaning, and concrete step repair. Their cost estimate was competitive and fair. There were a couple hiccups along the way, including matching the interior paint color and trouble with installing a door handle, but everything worked out ok. I would certainly hire them again for any general home repairs/improvements."
