"Extremely disappointed with this company. They do not stand by their guarantees. Did install shower in one day. Was not provided with the shower head I ordered. Calking and trim work was very sloppy. Went through the shower wall into my bedroom, did sparkle wall and left it. Shower doors have leaked and was finally told six months later that there is nothing they can do to correct the issue. Originally quoted $24,000.00 for the walk on shower, eventually agreed to $11,500.00. Completely dissatisfied with my shower. Once they get their payment, they are done."

"Initially, the design work done by Calvin Lee went well and we were very happy with our recently remodeled bathroom. Fast forward 3 - 4 years later, we find that the company fails to stand by the workmanship of their products. Two of the cabinet drawer facings were warped and Jason informed me that the 5-year warranty does not cover water damage, which is totally not the case. Followed by the fact that they neglected to properly waterproof the outside of the shower glass partition and along with the door opening which caused some minor damage to the adjacent walls and baseboards. They assume no responsibility and stated that it was my problem since they only carry a 3-year warranty on workmanship. Needless to say, we are not very happy with the manner in which they've handled our situation."

Unlike other contractors we had an estimate the project, a detailed drawing, selected all materials and colors, and had a detailed cost and timeline while the Lux representative was at our house. "We have used The North Star Companies for several jobs in the past, with the most recent being the largest. We hired them do a complete renovation of our home in Severn. The job grew larger as demo began and turned into a job requiring the rebuild of exterior walls, demo of concrete slabs - basically the house had to be rebuilt from the ground up. All new plumbing, electric, framing, windows, siding, roof, etc. I have known Chris for 20+ years and was confident that our forever home would be solid and done right. We had a few hiccups throughout the process - as this was done during Covid, so there were supply issues, delays and so forth, but Chris and his guys did an amazing job. We couldn't be happier and are continuously getting compliments on our beautiful home. Chris has been and will continue to be our go-to for any construction needs for us and our family and friends."
