He and his team of subcontractors for all the trades and handymen have successfully completed numerous projects for me. The internal big jobs included Mike and his team remodeling my basement into a permitted apartment with an egress window, injection well system, and recessed lighting; remodeling my kitchen into a larger space, better layout and upgraded appliances, cabinets, backsplashes (e.g., switching from an electric cooktop island to a slide-in gas range and installing a peninsula); changing the location of the sliding door and a set of windows in my sunroom for better flow and sightline from the front door entry to the patio door leading to my wooded backyard; replacing the damaged one of the two HVAC systems (i.e., one for the first floor and basement and the other for the second floor); and whole house interior painting and decorative touches (accent walls, trim, etc.) The external big jobs included Mike and his team resolving the sources of severe water damage to my two-story front door entry area and installing a new door, side lites and stoop. "While it is normal for remodeling projects to create chaos and to be the muse of many a horror story, this ended up with a very pleasant end result. We had a complete renovation down to the studs to bring things up to code, which included ripping out the sub flooring and quite a bit of pipes. Parts were ordered and lost and found. Things went on backorder and were discontinued. We fortunately had a fantastic crew. Ismar (the contractor) did an awesome job of making sure that everything was done to spec and built beautifully. He followed our wishes and came back on the weekend and late to be sure the work was done right. The only real challenges were with the design and oversight from the office, between the designer losing our design specs on the first pass and not communicating proactively about delays or back orders, but thankfully these were more annoyance than problem. After a few handoffs, we got Eric E. as project manager, and he saw us through the rest of the project with much better results and only about 30% oversight still needed from us. Overall, we got a great bathroom out of the deal, so 4 stars."

It went amazingly well.  We were worried about the disruption that would be caused by having our bathroom, which is attached to our bedroom, torn apart for several weeks, but Devin and his team could not have made it easier.  They put plastic sheeting over everything in our bedroom during the day during the demolition phase, and also rolled up our very large rug (and replaced it under our king-sized bed after they were done with the work).  They got everything done in the amount of time promised.  The crew were uniformly terrific -- nice, incredibly competent guys.   Devin was  great to work with.  Anything we wanted, he was able to figure out.  He could not have been more accommodating or helpful.  We've worked with a lot of great contractors over the years, and Devin is definitely a star.  Our bathroom designer, Debbie Gray, recommended him, and they worked together really well.  I have recommended the team to several friends already.  "
