"We highly recommend Alexey and his crew! Very professional, great attention to detail, prompt and polite, and excellent workmanship. We had them remove wallpaper in several rooms (and prep and paint) and paint the rest of our condo. Looks great!"

"I had the Big Deal Purchase for exterior painting for $999 for a painter for a week.  I paid a little bit extra to get small work done than they thought it would be possible.  I was so surprised that they were so responsive and finished the work early which was good.  Everybody was very friendly and the guy told upfront that they would try to all the work that I wanted done but they did not think that maybe it was not possible to get everything done so I kind of knew that so I told them they could take more time if they wanted to.  But other than that the quality was not excellent but it was good."

"Contractors were flexible, pleasant to work with and passionate about their trade. They arrived on time and was willing to make schedule changes to get the job done, which was completed ahead of schedule. However I was surprised at how much the labor costs was for wallpapering. I provided the materials but paid almost $1000 to have two accent walls done. It was twice the price I expected but the work was beautifully done. I would hire them again. Lovely people."

"They provided an estimate very quickly and were able to offer us a date to begin within a week.  They painted our entire house (2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and cabinets, dining room, 2-story living room, hallways, stairway, and office nook) in just two days.  They arrived on time (between 6:45 -7:00 am and worked the entire day for both days.  They were careful about moving furniture and other items out of the way, and then back again.  They covered everything and protected our hardwood floors and furniture.  They were polite, professional, and courteous, every single person.  They used the exact colors we asked for, provided 2-3 coats, as necessary, and even removed some very old wallpaper in one room that had been painted over by previous owners. Great workers, excellent professionals, and amazing job!

Good group of guys showed up to perform the work.  However, the work performed was just fair.  I ended up with paint drippings on approx. 70% of my roman shades throughout the house and more on the floor in a number of places.  I was supposed to get 2 coats throughout the home.  To me, two coats means two coats.... one coat applied, let dry, second coat applied.  To them, it means using a roller wither a deeper pile.  So, get up close to my walls and you can see the color beneath where the coverage wasn't enough.  Luckily my new color was really similar to my old, so it's not a glaring issue.

My mudroom was painted an incorrect color.  It appears that they had run out of the color needed and just moved forward with what they had instead of driving 1 mile to Sherwin Williams and picking up a gallon.  Again, the color wasn't a drastic change from the other, so maybe they thought it would go unnoticed??

I'm a business owner myself and understand the importance of speed of work to maximize your profit, but NEVER at the expense of quality and professionalism.  Slow down, take a bit less profit, do incredible work and watch your business explode!

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can apply peel-and-stick wallpaper over wood paneling, but it requires significant preparation for a good result. Peel-and-stick wallpaper has a weaker adhesive than traditional wallpaper and works best on smooth, non-textured surfaces like painted or primed drywall. Because wood paneling is often textured with grooves, any flaws in the underlying surface will likely be visible after application. To prepare the paneling, you must ensure the surface is free of cracks, holes, and protrusions by filling any indentations and sanding rough spots to create a smooth surface. An alternative is to remove the paneling and apply the wallpaper directly to the underlying drywall or plaster, provided it is in good condition.

Your peel-and-stick wallpaper can fall off for multiple reasons, including high humidity levels, extreme temperature changes, poor installation, and even the wall surface. Textured walls can prevent the adhesive from fully sticking to the wall, making it more likely for the wallpaper to peel off. Low-quality wallpapers with weaker adhesives are also more likely to fall off prematurely.

Wallpaper in bathrooms can last anywhere from one to 10 years, depending on what type was used, how well it was installed, and the measures in place to reduce moisture and humidity levels. Opting for a more durable variety and taking all the necessary protective measures will get you closer to that longer lifespan.

One of the biggest downsides to peel-and-stick wallpaper is that it doesn't last as long as traditional wallpaper. Its lifespan depends on several factors, including the quality of the paper, proper wall preparation and application, and the room's conditions. As a general rule, peel-and-stick wallpaper can last for at least five years, but this can vary significantly. Budget products may only last about 3 years, while higher-quality products can stay up for 7 years or more in ideal conditions. Factors that can shorten its lifespan include high humidity (such as in a bathroom), dirty walls, and low-quality paper. If used on flooring, expect it to last only 1 to 3 years unless sealed. However, the shorter lifespan can be seen as a positive, making it a great choice for people who enjoy switching up their interiors more frequently.

Walls should be as smooth as possible before applying peel-and-stick wallpaper. Although you technically can apply wallpaper on textured walls, the peel-and-stick variety won’t last long without a clean, smooth surface for the adhesive to stick to. If you have textured walls, consult a pro about removing the textured finish before moving forward with wallpaper.
