They redid my kitchen, scraped wallpaper, etc.  The Foreman, Walter, was fabulous.  He actually called me once when he was stuck in traffic to let me know that he was going to be about 10 minutes late.  I couldn't believe it.  He pretty much painted everything.  He was meticulous.  Everything had to be moved out so that it could be completed the right way.  It was so much better than any other painters I've had in the past.  The cost was a bit more, they were our middle estimate, but totally worth it.  He refinished seven doors as well as my kitchen and laundry room.  The cabinets looked like they just came off the showroom floor.  He made a whole room in our carport.  It was a beautiful job.  He was a true craftsman.  The employees were thoughtful and had been with the company for over 20 years.  They spoke very highly of the owner.  They've been in the area for a long time.   They really go the extra mile. "I first contacted Goode Design because of their great reviews on Angie's List.  I contacted them through their website and, when I didn't hear anything back from them over a period of about 4 weeks, I persisted and called and left a message before seeking other estimates.  Denny called me back and seemed extremely nice.  I explained that I needed some wallpaper removed from my bathroom, and any repair work done to the walls.  It's not a large bathroom, and only about half the room was papered.  He told me that he didn't want me to think he was lazy, lol, but it would save us time if I could just email him pictures of the room.  I wasn't exactly comfortable with that, but did so anyway.  I was quoted $900, but that quote included painting the room also, (but not including the price of paint.)  I emailed him back and explained that I only needed the paper removed, I didn't need the walls painted at that time, as we were doing some extensive work in there. I never got a reply to my last email.   My husband and I are attempting to do get quite a few things done in a relatively short amount of time, and we really need some extra help.  I wish we could afford to hire contractors to do everything that needs to be done, but we can't.  I was also supposed to email him pictures of our paneled basement that we wanted primed and painted.  I didn't, because I never got a reply to my last email.  And, if his price was $900 to remove some wallpaper, I don't think we could have afforded to have the basement job done.  I got the wallpaper removed by myself in less than a day, so I guess I saved myself $900.  All in all, he seemed like a nice guy, and his reviews are stellar.  I would have loved to do business with him. Unfortunately, we couldn't afford his services.

"Mr. Lazo arrived to give me an estimate on the date and time we agreed to. He walked through and observed the house and wrote an estimate on the spot that was for an amount that was exactly what I had estimated the work would cost.
On the morning they were to start work, a large crew arrived on time and began removing the wallpaper. They removed the wallpaper from the entire house in one day! It would have taken us weeks if not months, to complete the job ourselves.
The crew then began the painting process. They put two base coats followed by two coats of paint on all the walls. I could not find any mistakes when they were finished. They cleaned up thoroughly when they were done. I can not say how pleased I am with the professional job they did. I am thoroughly satisfied. Mr. Lazo called me regularly to discuss things I would definitely use this company again.
