"Mariano (spelled phonetically) contacted me right away. He diagnosed my issue over the phone and quoted a price. We scheduled a time for him to come out same day, arrived before appointment time, and removed/installed new sump pump (we purchased the sump pump before his arrival). He completed the work in the same day in a timely fashion and we paid as quoted. Thank you."

"I requested a quote from five companies, two of which responded. Drain Pro Services was the second to respond and the representative offered a flat fee for the service for Angie's List members. The representative indicated that he could be to my house in thirty minutes. I accepted and, indeed, the representative (Rep) arrived within thirty minutes. He was there for over two hours clearing my drain. He completed the job and we are very happy with his work."

"After contacting five other contractors to repair a septic pump, Queen was the only one to promptly respond and follow through. The tech showed up on time, completed the job and charged a reasonable fee. I will use them for ongoing maintenance and would highly recommend them. I can t say this if many contractors ... totally satisfied with their work!"

Septic Tanks questions, answered by experts

Concrete septic tank risers are heavier and more durable than plastic or fiberglass ones, making them suitable for long-term use. Installing a concrete riser differs from installing plastic or fiberglass risers primarily in the materials and methods used. The process involves cutting the concrete risers to the required length and then stacking them, using concrete sealant or adhesive between sections for secure attachment. Due to their weight, extra care is necessary during leveling and the attachment of sections. Concrete sealant or adhesive may also require a curing before the riser is ready for use.

Common signs that a septic tank is full include plumbing issues, odors, and changes in your yard. You may notice wastewater or sewage backing up into your home's drains, or that sinks, tubs, and toilets are draining slowly. Gurgling or bubbling sounds from the pipes are also a key indicator. Outside, you might smell foul sewage odors around your house or the septic tank area. Look for pooling water, spongy soil, or a marshy environment around the drain field. Another tell-tale sign is a patch of grass over the septic system that is suddenly lusher and greener than the rest of your lawn. If you notice any of these signs, you should contact a septic professional for an inspection and pumping.

Consider site conditions, soil type, required capacity, and system designs compatible with environmental protection regulations.

Expect to take at least a day to drill your own well by hand. For a 500-foot well, this could take even longer, depending on the makeup of the soil and the terrain you are drilling through. Other factors include your physical strength and overall fitness level and the weather conditions you’re working in.

Drain fields often include three to five trenches that are 18 to 24 inches deep. The pipes connecting the drain field to the septic tank will be placed between 12 and 18 inches deep, and the field as a whole will be about 100 feet long.
