The key is ensuring that the asbestos tiles are in good condition, firmly adhered to the substrate, and not damaged or deteriorating. This method is only appropriate for tiles that are undamaged and securely in place. If the asbestos tiles are already loose, damaged, or deteriorating, encapsulating them with epoxy may not be a sufficient solution, as it might not address the potential for ongoing asbestos exposure.

Do not panic if you are exposed to asbestos. The illnesses associated with asbestos exposure are rare. If you are concerned about exposure, talk to your doctor, especially if you are having any respiratory symptoms, such as coughing or difficulty breathing. They may recommend imaging to get a view of the insides of your organs and determine if scarring or growths are present.

It is strongly advised not to touch or disturb asbestos-containing materials unless necessary. Asbestos fibers can be released into the air when the material is damaged or disturbed, posing serious health risks if inhaled. It is best to leave any handling of asbestos to trained professionals who can remove the asbestos safely.
