"Richard and his Team (Dwight and Valentine) installed new False Chimney Box on top of roof, new chimney cap, new piping from roof to inside home and new piping connection to furnace and water heater. False Chimney Box purpose for furnace exhaust. Home built in 1959. Excellent workmanship, customer service and price. Team provided pictures during first inspection and when completed."

"I've used American Professional several times at various houses I've lived in or owned. They are an honest and professional company that does good work and stands behind it. I recently got them to give me an estimate on rebuilding the top portion of a chimney that needs brickwork. They inspected the chimney, told me it was safe to use, and gave me a very reasonable estimate for the chimney rebuild, saying that it can wait until spring if I wish. From my experience, they will do everything they can to satisfy the customer, whether it's a simple chimney cleaning or custom work. This is the best chimney company in the DC area by far."

"Lewis, Derrick and Gabriel at American Chimney went beyond the normal chimney inspection and cleaning. They saved me from replacing my whole chimney and fireplace system. They also gave me a courtesy inspection of my dryer vent system which was not up to code and had years of lint buildup. They replace my dryer vent system and made it to code. "We called to have our chimneys inspected because we had a bat in our home. Tim inspected both chimneys and the roof. He removed the caps and installed stainless steel screens over the flue opening on both fireplaces to help prevent bat intrusion through the flue. He did an excellent job. During his inspection, Tim noticed a hole in the b-vent chimney. Tim installed a new b-vent chimney from the basement to the roof. He connected it to the water heater and the furnace. There was no damage to our drywall which he had explained was a possibility during installation. They did an excellent job of cleaning up the debris and removing the existing pipe. We would highly recommend Top Shelf Chimneys."
