"Excellent service. The technician (I am blanking on his name) was very professional. He looked at the issue (clogged drain), gave me a couple of options, we chose one, he proceeded with unclogging the drain and voila, no more issue. Thank you!"

"Our 25+ year-old French drain system in our 100-year-old basement was showing signs of failure, so we contacted several companies to get advice on what to do. Jason of AA Action was very professional and helpful when he performed his initial inspection of our basement, and had very good ideas on what needed to be done. The price he quoted for the work was also, based on what we had read, reasonable. We ended up going with another company recommended by Angi, but only because it brought up a couple of options that we had not thought of, and we felt comfortable with them doing the extra work. We were not at all unhappy with AA Action's suggestions or pricing - it's just that the other company's additional ideas made sense for our circumstances."

Storm Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

Installation begins with removing existing doors if necessary, measuring, and accurately fitting the storm door frame and panel for a tight seal.

A storm door should be the same size as the front door. Both doors will fit into the same opening on the exterior of the home, so you can expect the storm door to be the same size as the front door. Most doors will be about 32 or 36 inches wide and 75 or 81 inches tall, although you can customize your door sizes.

The difference between a right-hand and left-hand storm door is where the handle is located. When looking at the door from the outside of your home, a right-hand storm door will have the handle on the right-hand side, while a left-hand storm door will have the handle on the left. Your storm door handle will be on the same side as your front door handle.

Some storm doors might need two closers, depending on the weather conditions in the area. For example, if it’s particularly windy where you live, installing two storm door closers (instead of one) can prevent your door from slamming shut when it’s propped open. You can place one at the top of your door and another at the bottom.

Instead of a security door, you might opt for a heavy-duty screen door made from durable mesh, which allows better sunlight and airflow. Additionally, you could enhance security by installing strong locks on your existing door. A double-cylinder deadbolt provides robust security; however, be aware that some local laws prohibit them due to safety concerns during emergencies.
