"Richard was extremely responsive, making a trip to the house prior to providing an estimate. His crew showed up on time and worked all day. My job took three days, and they left the house neat and tidy at the end of each day's work. They repaired my fireplace chimney, the fireplace chimney liner, and the utility chimney. Their experience and craftsmanship was on display in the quality of their work. The crew chief, Valentin, was outstanding with great communication and attention to detail. You only want to repair your chimneys once, and if you hire Chimney Discounters, rest assured the job will be done well."

"The project went really well! The team that came out for the estimate and inspection were very prompt and friendly. They walked us through the issues that needed resolving and even uncovered an issue with the roof and gutters. The team that came out to do the chimney repairs were very communicative and efficient in their work. The chimney looks great. I would definitely hire this company again."

"Chimney experts was very professional in both scheduling and the job. Al was very thorough to not only look at the chimney, but also to stay with me until we had fully built a fire and had it burning long enough to run a full test of the appliance. Would highly suggest for inspection and installation- they know the business well."

Customers say: True professional

"

The original date of service was changed due to a scheduling error by the contractor.

They were very apologetic and showed up promptly the next day.

The work was done quickly and they kept the nearby area very clean.

After the inspection, they gave me a written estimate for work that needed to be done to keep my chimney as safe as possible.

Chimney Inspection questions, answered by experts

Yes, copper roof strips can help prevent shingle damage and are an alternative to algae-resistant shingles. They work in a similar way: they release copper ions that interfere with algae, moss, and other plant growth. Algae feeds on limestone in your roof shingles, and moss can uplift shingles and increase the risk of leaks. If you have issues with algae or moss on your roof, copper roof strips can help avoid damage.

You should inspect your roof at least twice a year during the rainiest seasons: spring and fall. It’s also a good idea to get an inspection after getting hit with particularly heavy rain and windstorms, as these may damage your roof. If you are buying or selling a home, that might also be a good time to get the roof inspected.

Some of the biggest red flags to look out for after a home inspection include signs of water or moisture damage, missing or damaged shingles, structural problems like bowing roof joists, cracks in the foundation, and signs of pest damage.

Eaves will last as long as the roof, often 15 to 30 years or more, depending on the type of roof. Since eaves are part of the roof, their life span will depend on the roof's condition, although they can still be damaged by faulty gutters or pest damage, shortening their longevity.

You only need to replace a roof before moving if it’s extremely old or has more than just a couple minor damages. For instance, leaks, uplifted shingles, or obvious holes are issues no one wants to deal with right when they move in, and will automatically repel potential buyers that might have otherwise been interested.
