The sales team was really friendly and informative, they offered a few different pricing options, and they were able to build within 2 weeks of when the project got the green light from our HOA (other companies we talked with were more like 2 months). When we hit some snags with our HOA, Tyler helped us think through our options and pitch some creative solutions, which ultimately worked. The build itself is very high quality, especially given that our lawn has some slope to it. Finally, their warranty and customer guarantee is very solid and helps to alleviate the worry involved with significant purchases like these. We highly recommend this team!"

Chain link fences last 20 years on average, which is five to 10 years longer than wood fences. With proper care and maintenance, your chain link fence could last 30 years. If you purchase a chain link fence with vinyl-coated mesh or galvanized steel, the lifespan could be even longer. 

The maximum recommended slope on which you can build a racked or stepped fence is 45 degrees. After that, construction becomes quite tricky and may require the use of retaining walls or terraces to make the fenced area flatter.

When you’re deciding to take on a fence installation project, you’ll notice various types of wood to choose from. Take into consideration your geographic region and your budget when making your selection. Cedar is a popular choice when looking for a budget-friendly option, as it’s resistant to insects and less likely to rot compared to other types. Redwood is another tried-and-true choice because of its durability, but keep in mind that it is more expensive than other types of wood.

Maintain your wattle fence by inspecting it at least twice per year for loose weaving and degrading branches. Replace any seriously degraded sections, ensure water drains properly around the posts, and trim any sprouting branches if you used green wood. If you notice the weave loosening, you can often tighten it by gently pushing down on the top branches. Posts for a horizontal fence should be no more than 6 feet apart. Wood pickets are not as strong when mounted horizontally as when mounted vertically. As such, the fence panels on a horizontal fence can’t cover the same span between posts as a vertical fence can. If you install the posts further apart on a horizontal fence, the fence will lose stability, making the boards more likely to sag.
