We are not a global, national franchise or a remote out of state contractor with no local ties. We are a homegrown, local minority owned company committed to customer satisfaction. Founded in 1992, our company has performed over 100,000 service calls, and have over 30 years of experience. Insured, licensed and bonded we provide perfect service delivery to every customer, every time. We are a two time "Best Of Baltimore" winner. We are an Angie's List Super Service Award Winner 2011-2020. We service Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Cecil , Harford, Howard counties, Baltimore city and southern Pennsylvania.

"Home Systems Appliance Repair did an excellent repair on my 18 year old panel-ready 42 inch Built-In counter depth GE Profile Refrigerator. The original GE tech who looked at the leak in the freezer evaporator a year ago, told me the refrigerator was non repairable because the "vacuum pump" retrofit part it needed was no longer available. After paying his $200 visit fee for a 2 minute consultation, he offered me a discount on a new GE refrigerator to fit which had not been built yet. Fast forward to now, GE does have 42 inch built-in counter depth Monogram side-by-side for $12,000 and $2,000 of Kraftmaid panels. Home Systems Appliance Repair cost me $400 to identify and fix a broken heat transfer tab in the freezer evaporator unit. I saved $15,000 - - not bad for paying Appliance Repair for a 2 hour job. They seriously looked and found the problem. I highly recommend Manny (the tech who did the work), and Home Systems Appliance Repair. Susan"

"The pro was friendly, professional, nice, and very knowledgeable about problem with my washing machine. Furthermore, he was upfront and honest with me; he informed me that it would be more cost effective for me to get a new washing machine instead of trying to fix mine. Excellent!!! 100% satisfied with entire interaction from calling to schedule appointment to pro who came to my house. "

Len The Plumber Heating & Air, LLC is a leading plumbing and drain company serving Central Maryland. Our certified professional plumbers are available same day to assist residential customers in Anne Arundel County, Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Carroll County, Cecil County, Harford County, and Howard County. Our knowledgeable plumbers have years of experience dealing with a wide variety of plumbing issues including plumbing repairs, drain cleaning, water heaters, well systems, heating systems, sewer, water, and gas lines. We’re open 7 days a week with no extra charge on evenings or weekends!

"We’ve used Len the Plumber in the past, and while they’ve been slightly overpriced, they’ve been reliable and effective. But after this week I’ll be taking my plumbing business elsewhere, and I would highly recommend that anyone else do the same. Several times over the past few weeks we’ve had issues with the sink and toilet in one bathroom. A little less than a month ago, a Len the Plumber tech had replaced the toilet in that bathroom (not for the same issue). On Friday I called Len the Plumber to have someone come out and take a look. The woman who answered the phone said she would have the same tech that had installed the toilet come out that afternoon between 2 and 5pm. At 2:41pm someone from Len the Plumber called. She said that unfortunately that tech wasn’t scheduled to work that day and the appointment shouldn’t have been made. She told me he could come out Sunday morning between 8 and 11am. At 8:43 Sunday morning, a woman from Len the Plumber called to say the tech would be out in 30-45 minutes. Eight minutes later she called back to say that no, he doesn’t have a snake, so she’ll have to send someone else later. I told her he wouldn’t need a snake, that it wasn’t clogged right now. She said she’d discuss with the tech and call me back. At 8:58am she called me back and said that it sounded like the P-trap was clogged, and the tech would need a snake. I asked why he didn’t have one with him (since he worked for a company called Len the Plumber) and why he couldn’t just swing by a hardware store and pick one up. She said the techs don’t always have snakes, and sometimes they break and need to be fixed. She said she could send someone else out later in the day. I told her that we wouldn’t be here later, and that we had made plans around the tech coming out this morning (after we had made plans around the tech coming out on Friday). She said she would try to get someone out during the same timeframe, within the next two hours. At 10:36am she called back and said that she could have a different tech come out in 30-60 minutes. I told her no, we had planned to be home based on the 8-11 timeframe that we’d been given, and that wouldn’t work. She said she was sorry, but they had emergencies. I canceled the appointment and will never be using Len the Plumber again. The fact that a plumbing company can schedule a call two days in advance for a technician to come out for a problem with a sink and toilet, and neither the tech nor the dispatcher realizes that the tech doesn’t have a snake with him (and for some reason he can’t just pick one up) speaks volumes about the company’s competency. Add to that the bungling of the initial appointment, and the fact that a Len the Plumber tech told me to my face that he has no way of knowing what model toilet he installed in my house without physically coming out to see it, and this is clearly a poorly-run company with an outdated and/or low-quality field service and dispatch system. There are many competent plumbing companies in the mid-Atlantic area. Len the Plumber is not one of them."

We are a truly family owned and operated business, established in 1993. We will give you the honesty, personal service, and professionalism you've come to expect. Service, repairs, and installations of furnaces, heat pumps and central air conditioning systems

"initially ok though while onsite I had to ask "what is that rattling noise"...I don't understand how they didn't realize they had dropped a piece of cut duct sheeting into the unit interior. They used bad taping on the modifications they made to the ducts and it all blew apart. called to have them back to fix several times and they never bothered to answer"

"My chest freezer broke down and I did not want to buy a new one since I could not afford the same size. I reached out to appliance parts pro and they were confident that what I ordered would fix my problem. $200 in parts later and I now have a broken freezer on my porch and am still paying the loan to this terrible company. They just want you to order parts and try them because they know you can't return them. I hate this company with every fiber of my being and will make sure that anyone that has a broken appliance will not use them. To top it off, their site is so screwed up that it give you an error trying to log back in. I ended up having to create THREE different accounts because every time I went to place a new order, it would not let me login and it would not send a password reset email. DON'T GET RIPPED OFF."

Small Appliance Repair questions, answered by experts

In most cases, it’s worth hiring a professional installer to place and connect your appliances. Appliances like a washer and dryer are heavy and bulky, so they can be dangerous and challenging to maneuver into your home, especially if you have to move up or down stairs. Some appliance manufacturers might void your warranty or portions of it if your appliance is installed incorrectly, which is more likely to happen with a DIY installation. Additionally, any appliances requiring connections to gas or water lines should only be handled by professional installers for safety reasons.

Since there aren’t many moving parts to an oven, the list of repairs it might need is relatively short. Most times, when a repair is needed, it’s due to a part simply burning out. Some common oven repairs you might come across include:

  • Broken door glass

  • Stuck or broken ignitor

  • Stuck gas valve

  • Fractured heating element

  • Busted control board

Some of the most common microwave repair problems include magnetron failure and a plate that won’t spin. When a magnetron fails, the microwave won’t efficiently heat your food—a frustrating albeit common experience. Meanwhile, a plate that doesn’t spin won’t thoroughly heat food, even if the magnetron works.

If your microwave is on the fritz and you suspect the fuse has blown, you can check it to confirm it’s the source of the problem. Start by disassembling the panel and carefully checking the fuse filament or ceramic components. If your microwave uses a glass fuse, you’ll likely see discoloration and a melted filament. If your microwave contains a ceramic fuse, you’ll need to use a multimeter continuity tester to check if there’s continuity.

DIY is feasible for technically inclined owners with proper tools, though hiring professionals ensures compliance and minimizes hazards.
