"Two man crew. On-time. Assessed area, brought in back hoe, very organized, dug hole, and removed tank. Removed all hose lines in the house where connections were. Filled in holes, cleared area, very professional and through. We purchased top soil and reseeded lawn after C2G left."

"As a rookie in this area of landscaping, I needed an honest, understandable person to explain and explore my options for redesigning my yard which has a hill, old trees and other features that made it a real challenge. Robbie patiently provided this guidance without any pressure and was happy to explain ways in which I might reduce costs. This felt more like a partnership and I am grateful to have a professional I can trust to do a quality job. Thank you!"

"We wanted to help with our foundation drainage as the hills all led to water pooling to the back of our house. Also had French drains installed. Very happy with the quality of work especially so close to our home foundation. Highly recommend and have used Echo Excavation for multiple projects."

Land Clearing Services questions, answered by experts

In Worcester, unexpected land surveying costs may include additional research at the Worcester County Registry of Deeds, locating missing property markers, or delineating wetlands if your property borders protected areas. If your land is near a floodplain, extra mapping may be required. Legal boundary disputes or requests for expert testimony can also increase costs. Consult your surveyor about potential fees for easement research or site plan revisions.

Helpful?

In Worcester, most residential land surveys do not require a separate permit unless they are part of new construction, subdivisions, or work near wetlands or protected areas. For projects impacting conservation land or historic districts, approval may be needed from the Worcester Conservation Commission or the Worcester Historical Commission. Survey plats often must be filed with the Worcester County Registry of Deeds, and compliance with local zoning regulations is essential.

Helpful?

When hiring a land surveyor in Worcester, verify they are licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. Look for experience with local zoning codes, plat maps, and property line disputes. Ask about their familiarity with Worcester's permitting process and whether they have worked with the Worcester Planning Board or Conservation Commission. Request references and confirm they use up-to-date surveying technology for accurate results.

Helpful?

In Worcester, homeowners often mistake fences or old markers for true property lines, neglect to review deed restrictions, or overlook the need for a current plat map before construction. Failing to check for easements or utility lines can cause costly delays. Consulting the Worcester Assessor's Office and communicating clearly with your surveyor helps ensure all property records and site conditions are properly addressed before starting any project.

Helpful?

In Worcester, the timeline for land surveying depends on property size, terrain, and survey type. Boundary surveys generally take one to three weeks, while topographic or site plan surveys may require two to four weeks. Complex surveys, such as subdivision or ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, can take several weeks to months, especially if approvals from the Worcester Planning Board or additional deed research are necessary.
