"Jr and US ProPaint did an excellent job on my antique house. They repaired several items including dry rot, downspouts, broken windows, a deteriorating side on an outbuilding, and painted several areas including the front of my barn. They did great work and were responsive to any concerns I had. I would definitely have them come again."

"My wife and I recently bought our first house; built in 1852 it was desperately in need of some tender love and care and as first time buyers, we were eager to make it “our” home. The dining room, living room, and 2nd bedroom were all covered in wallpaper from a bygone era and the plastered ceilings were cracking in various spots. We hired Humberto and company after already speaking to a few other contractors, his friendly demeanor and knowledge in this area left us confident that he would do a good job. Imagine our surprise when the amount he quoted us was also significantly cheaper than other contractors we spoke to. The list of things that HS Plastering and Painting did for us include the usual suspects: removing wallpaper, restoring damaged walls, and of course prepping them and painting them. They also fixed our cracked ceilings as well as a section in the pantry that previously had water damage. In addition they stuccoed three of our closets that were previously dilapidated and did a fantastic job painting our stairwell and entryway. This alone would be enough to earn our recommendation, but what really sets Humberto apart in our experience is that he knows how to communicate with his customers. He was always polite, asked us what time his crew could start on a given day, would let us know how things were progressing, e.g. if a job was taking longer than expected and why. HS Plastering and Painting also worked to accommodate the schedule of other contractors we hired to refinish our floors, who honestly were rather disappointing in comparison. In communicating Humberto was very responsive to email, text and calls. His crew was also extremely friendly and courteous, never starting work earlier than promised and took many precautions to protect our home while they were working there. Lastly, I would like to contrast our experience with HS Plastering and Painting against the company we hired to refinish our floors, who by comparison showed very little respect for our house, unlike Humberto and his men. After the floor company finished, they left our freshly painted walls with black marks, a polyurethane stain, as well as scuff marks on all the baseboard molding in three rooms and the risers on the stairs. Humberto's men redid/fixed all of this, including having to repaint an entire area around the stairwell because touch-ups stuck out like a sore thumb at this point. They did this for a small amount over our initial quote that honestly made me feel like I was taking advantage of them. They did this because they obviously care about their customer's satisfaction and it shows. After they finished our little house was one step closer to being “our” home. I honestly can't recommend them enough. I'm hoping to hire them again in the future when the need arises."

"We were happy to meet Mike and George after starting a job with a different contractor. We had been told that our wall could not be removed. However, Mike and his crew not only removed that wall, but also made our other doorways larger. We have heard that permitting in our town of Westwood can be a challenge, but the process went well for us. Their workmanship was meticulous and we felt that he treated the job like he was working on his own house. Chris, his foreman, brought a fresh approach to the job and helped us, with his years of knowledge, create a beautiful and functional space.
