"Taozen Flooring did an excellent job installing wood flooring in my condo. They helped me choose the flooring from the different brands that they have. The installation went very well. They said that it would take 4 days and they would start on Tuesday. That's exactly what happened. It's their attention to detail that is so remarkable. The floor in the back of the closets received the same care as the living room. Each corner is perfect. I am very happy with the job they did and would highly recommend Taozen Flooring."

"I had originally wanted to expose and restore the oak floor in the kitchen. When Max arrived he immediately saw that I had a problem. He explained that the tiles and adhesives covering the hidden oak underneath contained asbestos and walked me through the alternative and all the benefits of a floating vinyl plank floor. He is a rare breed - the ultimate gentleman, kind, patient, and so knowledgeable. He is an excellent communicator and very eager to provide you with the best possible experience. He and Rick, a member of the Luxe team, have created a beautiful thing. Rick's attention to the finishing details is outstanding. Did I mention neat and clean? All the leftover stock, packaging, and debris was taken away. The only thing left behind was a lovely new floor. They are flooring "SuperStars" - definitely deserving a 10 star rating if it were possible. I will definitely call Max for any future floor refinishing projects."

"Varouj and his team were wonderful and we couldn't be happier with our new floors. Everyone was so professional and friendly as well as fast and efficient. They refinished old hardwood floors in three bedrooms and installed new hardwood floors throughout our upper floor and they made the transition from old to new seamless. I can't recommend them highly enough."

"Pleasure to work with, always on time and efficient, the quality is top notch! Coordination in the field with multiple subcontractors to avoid conflict with flooring finish, the communication on the process and sequence was very professional and allowed us the builder to easily schedule other subcontractors. We highly recommend aqua flooring for all your flooring needs, Qua is turnkey when it comes his flooring scope."

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

What a buyer prefers usually depends on the home’s layout and which material fits the current aesthetic. The local real estate market can also dictate these desires to some extent, as do the buyer’s personal preferences. With that said, laminate can increase the resale value of a home by a tiny bit, whereas carpet does not. Hardwood increases the resale value by the highest amount.

No subflooring is perfectly level, but you should never ignore any noticeable floor sagging. Most contractors deem a floor that slopes by a 1/2 inch to 1 inch per 20 feet of floor acceptable. Further investigation is required when the slope or sag is more than one and a half inches.

Berber is the most expensive type of carpet, followed by textured carpet. Berber costs $3 to $20 per square foot, and textured carpet ranges from $1 to $12 per square foot. Berber features fibers arranged in short, thick loops, making it extraordinarily durable. The most expensive carpet material is wool, followed by acrylic, Triexta, and cotton. Wool costs $4 to $20 per square foot and is a beautiful, luxurious, and durable material. Acrylic, Triexta, and cotton range from $2 to $8 per square foot.

You can tell a carpet is good quality if it’s made of a soft, durable material and has a good face weight and density. When comparing two similar carpets, the higher the face weight, the more durable the carpet tends to be. The same goes for carpet density. A higher density of two similar carpets often indicates better quality. The ideal carpet face weight and density values depend on the carpet material and type.

Linoleum flooring lasts about 20 to 40 years. While it is durable, it does wear out from foot traffic and even the weight of furniture over time. It can also become faded or discolored from sunlight streaming in through the windows.
