"Claudio and his crew were very easy to work with - they arrived on time, did an excellent job laying out our tile and Claudio personally stands behind his company's work. If their attention to detail is always this good, I know we'll be hiring them again for additional house projects."

"Great! Keith and his crew were outstanding. We had a complete kitchen remodel planned and were impressed by Keith's knowledge, skills and professionalism. We asked if he was up to a complete remodel which included building a new master bedroom (by combining two bedrooms into one); a master bath, remodeling a powder room; remodeling a kitchen; adding built-ins and chair rails into a living room; and my personal favorite, remodeling a 70's style sunroom. Keith and his team tackled the project and we are completely satisfied. Although this project came with some headaches and "bumps in the road," we were impressed by Keith and his team of subcontractors to keep the job moving forward with as little disruption as possible. His plumber was one of the most conscientious and respectful plumbers we have ever used; the painter did an outstanding job; his hardwood floor installer/refinisher was top notch; and the carpenter was the absolute best we have ever had worked for us! This carpenter could and did do anything and everything! Old school: tiles, floors, doors, windows, slider, rough and finish carpentry: he did it all! At one point he stepped in and saved me by hanging pictures, curtain rods and a ton of miscellaneous items that my woman wanted done. Those finishing touches at the end, sealed the deal! Keith, Gerard, Jon, Felipe, Ken and the others, thank you. A+"

Customers say: True professional

"Drew is meticulous with his craft. The tile in our bathroom shower was laid out with amazing precision, spacing the tile cuts perfectly symmetrical around the drain. He installed a double wide shower niche that coordinated with our floor tile. The wall tiles were cut and applied perfectly. We originally contracted to just replace our walk-in shower but were surprised that the old shower installation was done improperly and had caused severe water damage to the plywood subfloor that extended beyond the shower to the floor. We then contracted with him to replace the floor. The floor was installed with radiant heat wiring below and came out beautifully. Drew is professional and pleasant, maintained a clean and safe work site and kept us informed every step of the way. We are extremely pleased with the quality and beauty of our new shower and floor. We are happy to have found and hired a true craftsman."

Tejadas was able to fit me in right away.. they were at my home on time and did a great job cutting my granite countertop and positioned my sink to get installed by the plumber… I would definitely hire them again for any future jobs"

"I had hired Richard Peckham and his crew of Integrity Home Solutions to perform a kitchen/bath remodel of my condo in Provincetown in 2016. I was so pleased with his work and his ability to get the job done on short notice I called on him again to help prepare my Centerville home prior to putting it on the market for sale. Again, Richard and his crew came to the rescue. I needed the job done in a relatively short period of time. The major work was replacing the 30 year old roof. After selecting the roofing product that we were going to use, Richard got to work ordering materials and obtaining permits. Within 2 weeks the project started and completed on schedule . I was very pleased with the outcome. Richard and his team also replaced some windows, replaced cedar shingles on siding of house, installed new under ground drains for gutters, and sealed basement walls/floors. Again, I couldn't have been more satisfied with the quality of workmanship, professionalism and excellent communication. As I was not on site, Richard kept me informed of progress of work on a daily basis. I would certainly call on Richard again and use Integrity Home Solutions as my first choice for any home repair/remodeling/contracting needs."

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

Installations typically take 1-3 days, depending on area size; repairs are usually completed sooner if the issue is localized.

Grout lines should typically be between 1/8 to 3/16 inch thick. This ensures enough room for the grout to dry properly and makes them wide enough to look clean and professional. If grout lines are too small, it can be easier to see imperfections in the spacing.

The easiest tile size to install is large tiles, and they’re easier to install than small tiles—the job is faster and simpler when there’s less placing, adhering, and grouting to do. However, when tiles get really big, they’re more difficult to handle, cut, and fit. Standard floor tile sizes are 12-by-12 inches, 18-by-18 inches, and 12-by-24 inches.

To make a small bathroom look bigger, choose light-colored tiles in a medium- to large-format size. Lighter colors like white, cream, or light gray help open up a room, making it feel larger and more airy. While it may seem counterintuitive, small tiles can actually make a bathroom look smaller because the increased number of grout lines creates a busy pattern that visually shrinks the space. Instead, opt for medium- or large-format tiles for a more seamless, expansive appearance. For the best effect, pair your tiles with a matching or similarly colored grout to create a continuous surface that enhances the illusion of a larger area. Avoid dark colors, heavy patterns, and contrasting grout, as these can make the space feel more confined.

Flooring transition strips can be secured to the subfloor using glue, nails, or screws. For a more secure installation, especially in high-traffic areas, using screws or nails is recommended as it reduces the risk of slippage. However, if aesthetic appeal is a priority, glue provides a cleaner, more seamless finish without any visible holes or screw heads.
