"We highly recommend J.P. McCurdy Electrical Services. We hired this exceptional shop to replace all the old knob and tube wiring (along with switching out a number of light fixtures and installing several ceiling fans) in our 120-year-old Victorian home – a challenging job that a couple of other electricians didn’t feel confident undertaking. Owner Jack McCurdy personally came to size up the job and give us a detailed estimate, and his professionalism, courtesy and extensive knowledge sold us. What was originally thought to be a two-week job was finished in six working days as foreman Joe Costain efficiently deployed his crew and brought in a second crew on a few days to expedite the work. Joe was great at communicating what kind of activity we could expect day-to-day, especially as both my wife and I are working from home fulltime during the COVID pandemic. He and the crew checked in frequently on our preferences, minimized the number of holes in the ceilings and walls (including avoiding harming our wallpaper in a couple of rooms altogether), and cleaned up well at the end of every day. Jack’s estimate was competitive and the final accounting accurately included the additions and subtractions we agreed to during the job. We feel so much better that we’ve finally eliminated the risky knob and tube wiring and updated the entire house’s electrical system. "Before installing a mini-split, the sales person told me that I'd need to cut down an interior shelf to a specific height. I paid a handyman $400 to do exactly what the sales person instructed. Later on, N.E.T.R. came and did the installation; however, AFTER the installation, a technician told me that they hadn't accounted for the vent opening and closing and that the shelf would need to be further cut down. As you can imagine, this type of service is rather ridiculous. If they knew that the shelf would need further cutting, they should have NOT installed the unit. I have called N.E.T.R. six (6) times in three weeks, and no one has called me back about this issue. After paying for the unit and for a handyman, it's ridiculous that I have AC that is compromised because no one with the company thought to properly measure the space so that the work by the handyman could be done once. At this point, I'd like for N.E.T.R. to take care of this for me."

I had them do four different things; they gave me a fair price and did it quickly and cleanly. They cleaned up after themselves -- no pieces of copper or wire jacketing laying around for the dog to find. I couldn't be happier."

"Mauro from Cognati Electric was awesome. We recently opened up our 1st floor. From demolition of the wiring to the fine details of the finished project he was personable, professional, advised and gave us his recommendations and always left the area clean. Mauro updated our 100amp service, installed ceiling lights, chandelier, and pendent lights. This was also a complete kitchen remodel that included adding all new outlets and switches for appliances, disposal and exhaust fan. The job also included wiring of a complete forced hot water heating system with 4 zones and thermostats and an indirect water heater. We also added a 3 head ductless air conditioning/heat pump system that he wired. We have since had him back for other projects such as complete wiring of our shed, outdoor lighting and a total upgrade to our electrical in our finished basement.
