He also showed up on the day of the project to introduce the two electricians that would be doing the work. The team was courteous, professional, and did a great job installing the lights. They also installed overhead lights in bedrooms and put in a 240-volt outlet for a washer/dryer room. They communicated with me about my preferences throughout the job. Their work was professional and clean. They also patched the holes they made, which some electricians wouldn’t do."

We actually had contracted to do some extra work for a few thousand. Day 1 of the job, Brandon calls to let us know that we do not need to do the work as he took the time and effort to get other opinions on the installation of a beam. Again, character. He could have easily installed, but he took the time to do right by his customer and that, in our experience, is essentially unheard of. The work he completed for us-on schedule-was more than we could have hoped for. He really does great work, listens to the customer (we are guilty of making many changes and talking far too much), but Brandon is beyond patient and willing to work with you. If you are looking to remodel a kitchen, bath, or in general, look no further than Superior. You are hiring someone who truly cares about his work and the customer. Rare in any business these days. "Amazing. Todd was the fourth carpenter we interviewed, all from Angie's List, and we knew immediately he was the one. Unlike the others, you could tell that he was the kind of guy who does what he says; shows up; and does a quality job. He did all that and more and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. Todd did more than the projects he was given - he referred the electrician and plumber who also did a wonderful job and having the three of them know one another helped tremendously - as they would communicate scheduling amongst themselves. Todd was also the point person who was there when the granite was installed and found someone to cut and re-size our existing granite. Todd listens to what you want to do; asks all the right questions, provides very thoughtful ideas and solutions. He gets it. He is there when he says he will be; the quality of his work is excellent. He is a pleasure to have in your home; he cleans up as he works and is just a real nice guy. "We purchased an 1874 house that needed significant work with plans for us to move out of our old condo within three months of closing and asked for the nearly impossible task of finishing enough of the work to allow us to move out of our old condo in time. We had multiple contractors come and evaluate and it seemed that no one would be able to accomplish the feat, as we had plans for taking down several walls and chimney, completely redoing the kitchen, two bathrooms, and major cosmetic and other work including new electric, new central HVAC, and updating the plumbing and hot water. Ray came and evaluated the project and despite others who had said they would not be able to get the project done in the time frame we asked, he said that his company Bay State would be able to accomplish this. I could tell immediately with his thorough approach on that first visit that we would be in good hands. They began demolition the day after we closed on the purchase and in a crazy three month period they were able to check off all the major projects and somehow allowed us to move in. After moving in they completed the remaining major items, and we are now checking off the last small detail work. David was our project manager and he juggled and coordinated the builders, electricians, plumbers, HVAC people, painters, flooring people, kitchen designer. He worked incredibly hard to make sure we were able to move our family in and that we were happy with the results. My wife and I have very demanding requirements for the details of the work, and he worked tirelessly to make sure that the end result was up to our very high standards. Marcio (aka the Doctor) was the main builder who did an amazing job constructing the bathroom, kitchen, built-ins, new windows etc. Jonathan and his electrician crew was fantastic and gave us the custom lighting and complete rewired and updated the entire system throughout the house. David (Mr Fix it plumbing) also did great work adding an additional sink in the kitchen, completely new hot water heater and even sent water and sewage up to the attic to prep for a future bed/bath renovation. John the HVAC guy also did a great job adding a second HVAC system and we now have a beautiful modern and custom house that retains the charm of its 1874 roots. Many of our friends have done renovation projects with other groups that take far longer or cost far more than the initial estimate. Bay state however kept to their time frame, and when something extra or unexpected came up (as is wont to happen with a 144 year old house that had not been worked on in many years) they always gave us options on how to address the issue in case we did not want to spend the extra money. Overall we feel lucky that our family ended up in such good hands and we absolutely would recommend to others hiring Bay State for you major or minor project."

"The sheer scope of our project demanded extensive coordination between several different contractors and designers - something that has caused no end of headaches in the past. Under the guidance of Hagit, Brian, Mark, and the whole Kitchen Center team, however, our experience could not have gone more smoothly. Our remodel began with discussing design ideas with Hagit and Brian. After providing only a rough idea of what we wanted, they returned to us with designs that went above and beyond what we had envisioned - their experience and expertise were evident right off the bat. Like other reviewers have mentioned, their design included pegboard drawers, spice drawers, and an excellent and versatile arrangement of cabinets - though the highlight for me, personally, was the dead corner organizer. Their design really made optimal use of the space we had available. Hagit responded to our questions and comments promptly and with great insight, and the whole team proved very easy to work with. From that point on, it was largely a hands off experience on our part. We picked out some cabinet colors and designs, as well as the appliances and counter-tops (though we sought their advice on those as well) - but they coordinated all the contractors and subcontractors and established a construction schedule to which they rigorously adhered. Mark and his crew of contractors worked diligently and efficiently. They sealed off the second floor to preserve its livability and afforded us free use of the house throughout construction. His team, as well as every subcontractor they hired, provided excellent work that we are very pleased with. Any issue that arose was resolved promptly and satisfactorily. No project is without its unexpected complications, but the Kitchen Center team handled them with aplomb, and the project was finished well within schedule. Even when we chipped in that we were interested in having central air installed, Brian found a contractor and seamlessly integrated it into the greater body of work. Though they don't come cheap, the Kitchen Center is well worth the money. We are very pleased with the work they've done for us, and it was an absolute pleasure working with them."
