This was about as seamless a kitchen renovation that one could ever hope for.  Dave listened carefully to the goals we wanted to achieve in our kitchen, and was patient with the design adjustments we wanted to incorporate as we considered each version of the design plans.  One cabinet in particular that was added toward the end of the design process was brilliantly conceived on his part--a cabinet to store large items that looked like a lovely piece of dining room furniture, with exterior shelving and drawers. It is a centerpiece in the kitchen.  Dave was careful to preserve important walk ways in our kitchen so as to not create bottlenecks--an important element in this centrally located kitchen.  His advice on style and color of cabinetry was also highly valued in our desire to achieve a cleaner and brighter look, yet one that was still consistent with our 1931 Colonial.

The Brookhaven cabinets are beautiful and well-made.  While they are pricey, Dave was able to steer us to take advantage of a manufacturer's discount.  The selection of hardware that was available without incurring additional cost was completely adequate, and we took advantage of this option.

Installation of the cabinetry was smooth and timely.  We decided to make a last minute change to the placement of our microwave, which necessitated the order of a new drawer.  This took longer than we had hoped, but understood that this was not a Kitchen Center issue, but rather one of the manufacturer, as each items is custom made.  When the drawer arrived, it was without a front--this added more time. 

Once the cabinetry was installed, irregularities were minimal.  Dave and a service that works with him tended to adjusting hinges, covering screw heads, and painting areas that needed to be smoothed. 

Overall, working with the Kitchen Center exceeded our expectations.  Communication and responsiveness were excellent.  They partnered well with our contractor so that there were no glitches or last minute surprises--almost unheard of for a kitchen renovation.  The quality of the design and workmanship has made for a space that we are loving, and our only regret was that we did no redo our kitchen sooner!

"Carlos is an absolute pro, and just one of the friendliest people you'll meet to boot! He was very responsive in getting back to me after initial contact, and was very thorough in his assessment. He took the time to ask relevant followup questions. He was also one of the few installers I contacted that was willing to work with with customer-provided equipment. I understand it's lucrative to work with wholesalers and retailers to provide equipment for these installations, but if you've already done the research, and have bought exactly what you want... it's frustrating to meet installer after installer that won't even entertain doing an installation for equipment they didn't provide. At any rate, Carlos was very patient and professional, providing recommendations based on my situation. Absolute top notch work! I'm listening to the system now, and it sounds fantastic! "My wife and I recently hired Mulligan Painting to repaint the exterior of our large 8 room colonial house with screened-in porch (painted inside and out), garage, and fences. We were utterly delighted with the result and with our experience in working with this company. Kyle Mulligan, son of the owner (Gerry) quickly responded to our inquiry. He came out at the end of April to give us an assessment and a very reasonable estimate (within a few days). We settled on a date at the beginning of July. The start date was postponed by one day due to rain but Gerry, Kyle and their crew of three men arrived right on time the next day and went immediately to work. Even though the temperature reached the mid-nineties that day, these guys barely took a break. Over the course of the four days that it took to paint our house and garage, the crew worked tirelessly and knowledgeably, applying two primer coats and one finish coat. They paid careful attention to every detail, including the trim and the doors (which were different colors), and everything looks just perfect! In addition, the guys did their best to be as unintrusive as possible. They were polite, professional, hard-working, very trustworthy, just good people. Gerry and Kyle answered any questions we had and offered suggestions when we needed them. One thing to know is that we had not anticipated that they would need to leave their ladders in our back yard for the length of the project. They also needed to use some of the space in our garage to store supplies during that time but all of that actually made the most sense efficiency-wise. In summary, we had an excellent experience with Mulligan Painting and would not hesitate to hire them again. They were great!"
