"We have employed a number of contractors over the years in the process of updating our 1860's Victorian. However, our experience with John Moylan and his crew was the best ever. They were here every single day. There was absolutely no lag time, and they completed the job of opening walls to create an open concept, refinishing the space from floor to ceiling, remodeling the bathroom, and installing new windows, all in record time. What we appreciated the most was the thought and care they put into the work. John talked over every single step and thought through the renovation from every angle. He did what he could to save us money without cutting corners. On the whole, the quality of the work, the efficiency, knowledge and skills left us very impressed. They were very good about cleaning up after themselves every day, and helped out by running a number of errands related to the renovation. On the whole, we are very glad that we found John and his crew and would recommend the company to anyone considering a major renovation."

"Antonio and his crew remodeled our front hall, completely relocated /
rebuilt our kitchen, and converted our 3 season porch into a heated
sun room. They did everything from the demo work to the final touches of
installing the back splash.
Antonio and his crew, (and I'm lumping in his
subs for the plumbing and electrical parts here), did an outstanding
job on our renovation project. Renovation projects can be stressful and
Antonio did a great job through the whole project. He was always
reachable when we had a question or a concern and always made it a
priority to make sure we were satisfied with the results. In some cases that meant working with us on what we wanted, leaving out samples for us to look at when we got home, or even sending picture text messages to make sure it's what we wanted before doing it. It's those types of things that make a big difference in the final result.
All renovation project encounter problems. In our case we had a few design
issues as well as delays with our counter tops that held up plumbing install and a few other things. First off these are problems that were not caused by
Antonio's team but rather reinforce the need to hire a team like them who can help you through it and work around it.
Finding the right contractor is as much
about personality fit as it is about finding one with the right skill set. I'm going to level with you. My wife and I can be tough customers. An engineer and   and architectual designer by trade, I'll admit we can be picky about certain parts of the project. Maybe that's an understatement, I don't know, but more importantly I think that says something about our contractor. You have to Antonio for his patience, attention to detail and pride in his work. They were evident throughout the project and most importantly in the final result. I have no reservations about hiring him and his team again for future work to our home.
Of the 2 other bids we considered for this project, I'm glad we went"

"I hired Jeff to take out my old, leaky, fiber glass shower and install a new tile and glass enclosure. Jeff was very responsive, reliable and always available for questions. He coordinated the contractors including plumbers, tilers and glass installers and kept the work moving forward. The work was professional and very well executed. His pricing was very fair with no surprises. I absolutely love my new shower."

"Bill returned my call the first day. He came out to give us a quote and had the door installed soon after. Looking forward to working with him in the future.

"Needed several small projects done around the house, mostly the kitchen... cabinet install, painting, tile backsplash, etc. Antonio was very responsive, reasonably priced, and the quality of his work was excellent. I will likely be hiring him again in the future for some other small home improvements."

"Wallpaper removal = A; plastering = A-; painting: C+. We were disappointed in the overall experience. They were kind enough and their wallpaper removal and plastering was great, really solid—but on the final day, they rushed with the painting to get it done on the original time frame, and while one room was top notch, another was above average, and the bathroom was very sloppy. There was wall paint on our bathroom tiles, vanity, and shower; unsanded/unsmoothed plaster chunks that were just painted right over and were unsightly and lumpy; peeling caulking; parts where the paint was crooked or misaligned with baseboards; paint dribbles on floor and utensils on counter; and they did a poor job cleaning up, with plaster dust everywhere, paint to be cleaned up in the bathroom, and paint and plaster dust in, on, and around our cabinets. One of the crew members’ painting skills was just rushed and poor and it detracted from the others’ skills. By the time the job was over they rushed to get out of the house and did not carefully complete a walkthrough."

"Many years ago, my husband and I hired a general contractor to build a one story in-law apartment four our daughter and her family, and the experience was a disaster. We worried about a repeat when our home was extensively damaged by the record snowfall of 2014-2105. The insurance company required us to gut the kitchen and bathroom and replace everything except the cabinets. Through Angie's List, we found an alternative to a GC, a company that placed us in charge of the project in a way that gave us control over all decisions regarding products, labor, schedule, and scope. The president of the company, iCornerstone, is Richard Connolly, and we hired him to develop designs and labor and material specifications, submit them for competitive bids, establish the project cost and timelines, and coordinate the work once construction began. Richard's services rely heavily on a computer for communication and documentation, and we had almost no experience with technology. With his steady guidance and coaching, we managed fairly well. It was easy to access all the specifications, designs, and progress pictures Richard posted to DropBox, and his daily project updates or phone calls kept us in the know. At first, we were hesitant to be the GC because we are retired, on fixed income, and in our mid-seventies, but Richard was by our side every step of the way. I am very much hands-on, and Richard encouraged my active participation. A GC would provably accuse me of micro-managing or being difficult to work with. We could have hired anyone or purchased materials anywhere but decided to use the network of resources Richard referred to us. The workmanship of the subcontractors was excellent, but two had to be prodded to provide invoices. It was frustrating because the insurance company required evidence of payment before our settlement could be released, and the clock was winding down. Richard helped us resolve the situation by providing the insurance company with detailed costs for the project, which was done in two phases and included work beyond our claim. He persuaded the company to increase its estimate of the insulation costs because the building code would not allow us to replace the original fiberglass batts. Everything Richard said he would do, he did, which was not always the case with the plumbing company and the vanity and countertop supplier, especially when it came to the schedule or accommodating changes I wanted. Richard volunteered to cut sink holes in the bathroom vanities and kitchen counter tops to help the plumber and avoid delays or inconvenience to us. He even made, installed, and painted adjustable shelving in a closet and never charged for any physical work he did. Despite a few issues, I am thrilled with the result, and the project did not go over budget. The time it took was another matter, and one delay was at our request while others were caused by some contractors being unavailable when we needed them. Our space is beautiful and inviting, and Richard's suggestion that we raise the low kitchen ceiling to create a cathedral ceiling changed the overall feeling of the room. I cannot imagine a more ethical, professional, and cost-effective solution than iCornerstone and highly recommend Richard. We saw firsthand his commitment to us, love for his work, and passion for his company."

FAQs for sauna installation projects in Reading, MA

Pool repair costs vary depending on the type of pool. Repairing an inground pool ranges from $350 to $2,700, depending on the extent of the repairs needed. Repairs to an above-ground pool usually cost $100 to $700. The most common repairs include patching or replacing the vinyl pool liner, fixing plumbing or electrical lines, and repairing pumps, filters, and other equipment.

The cost to repair a hot tub or spa ranges from about $170 to $550, depending on the repairs needed. Some of the most common hot tub repairs include leaks, clogged filters, and tripped GFCI breakers. If it’s an electrical problem, you should contact a professional hot tub repair service. Don’t DIY electrical repairs on a hot tub, as poorly repaired wiring can make the hot tub a serious electrocution hazard.

The average cost of an above-ground pool is between $1,100 and $5,700. Costs will vary depending on the type of pool you install. The low end of the price range includes a DIY kit for around $800 and goes up to about $15,000 for a custom pool with extra features like a deck and water features. Building an above-ground pool is much faster than installing an inground one. The cost tends to be much lower for an above-ground pool than for an inground pool because there’s less labor involved, especially when it comes to excavation and running plumbing and electrical lines.

Installing an inground pool costs around $55,000, on average. The typical price range is between $39,000 and $70,000, depending on the size and type of pool and accessibility of the site. This project requires an experienced pool installation contractor as the project usually involves extensive excavation, plumbing, electrical, concrete, and careful grading of the concrete or pavers around the pool.

From start to finish, building an inground pool takes anywhere from two to four months. Factors that impact time to completion include any weather delays, material delays or shortages, scheduling conflicts, and any unforeseen challenges. The project may take most of the pool season, depending on where you live. Because of this, it’s a good idea to start getting estimates and finding a qualified pool company at least a year before your anticipated installation. Spring and summer is the busy season for pool contractors, which impacts their availability as projects are typically booked for several weeks if not months.
