"Alex was hired to put front steps in front of my home. A small job as 2 other contractors never even showed up for a estimate. His work is excellent. He is on time, very respectful of the persons property and between his helper and him I do not know who worked harder. It is hard heavy work and was done beyond approach. I will be using his company again next year for a backyard project. My best to Alex, and his helper. Well Done! Steve"

Hi lic and insured plumber in all phases of plumbing and heating service , we charge travel one way up to a 1/2 hr.

"The cost was far more than I had expected. I should have gotten another estimate before hiring these people. The toilet was installed well, but the shower head was left with far too much play where it came out of the wall. He said he didn't have time to make it secure and to call the plumber who had originally put it in. I called the original plumber who was horrified to find an installation left so badly done, so he fixed it on the spot, even though it was past his work time. The original plumber said that the head of a screw inside the wall had been broken off in removing the shower head. I am finishing this review two days later. Over those two days I have been barraged by texts, emails, telephone call claiming that the check I gave him has not cleared, according to his accountant. I verified with my bank that the check had been cleared and deposited into his business account. Mr Buccelli assured me that was not the case and said he was coming over immediately for a check. We use the same bank which further verified to me that the check is in his business account. After two days of what approached intimidation, he now claims it was a different client. I was really uncomfortable at the thought of this angry man appearing at my door."

"Worst hire I have ever made. They were rude, totally incompetent, and had terrible customer service. They did not finish my install, gave me terrible advice, and refused to refund me until I had my credit card company get involved. It was the single worst company I have ever interacted with, and that is not hyperbole. DO NOT HIRE THEM FOR ANY REASON!"

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

No, you cannot plant a tree above a gas line. Tree roots grow and spread over time and can sometimes dent, crack, or penetrate a gas line. Those same roots may also cause accessibility problems for maintenance or repairs. You can generally plant vegetation with non-invasive root systems, low-growing vegetation, and flower beds near gas lines.

You may want to remove the gas line if it’s unsightly or if it’s causing a problem with future appliances. The downside is if you decide to go back to gas, you would need to run a new gas line to the area.  The average cost to run a new gas line is $550, but the installation can range anywhere from $120 to $1,350.

A plumber or certified gas technician is responsible for capping gas lines. Gas lines require expertise and understanding of safety standards to ensure it’s properly sealed. Your local regulations may also have specific requirements for capping gas lines.

Capping a gas line costs approximately $125. The final price varies from $75 and $150 depending on your contractor’s hourly rate. To completely remove a gas line and cap it at the base can cost up to $250. Most contractors will charge a flat fee instead of by the hour since capping is often part of a larger project.

This is a matter of personal preference, as each method has its own pros and cons. Oil furnaces are safer, but the smell can be off-putting to some consumers. Oil is also more expensive than gas. However, oil furnaces boast a higher BTU rate per hour, so a smaller amount of oil can heat a larger space when compared to a gas furnace.
