"Your message dropped out- here is the last sentence of your review: When contacted by the Technician a week later, I was told that the … The total was $262.50, which is 1 1/2 hours. During the initial visit, the system continued to operate and no obvious problem was not found. The technician left you a message with pricing for the various parts that we would start replacing. We never heard back from you. I hope you can get someone soon to take care of the problem. Thank you, Gary Wilson"
"Super! I am so glad you enjoyed the process. Few people dig into details, so I appreciate it when people actually notice! Gary Wilson"
"Wonderful! As the world gets more and more technical; it's my pleasure to explain all the ins and outs. I hope the new systems save you energy costs and bring lots of comfort. Thanks, Gary Wilson"
"Thank you for the Happy Review. I’m sure glad the new mini split systems are working well. Thanks for sharing the success story. Gary Wilson"
"Thank you for your thoughts and the review! Gary Wilson"
"Thank you, I wish you and your family the best and a speedy recovery for your loved one. Gary Wilson"
"Hello! I'm so glad you're pleased with the installation. Thank you, Gary Wilson"
"Thank you for your business, [Member Name Removed] Wilson"
"Thank you! That's very kind of you. I'm glad the process went smoothly and everything is working as advertised. In case there are people reading this and trying to compare 'costs per unit(s)" these systems had some unique routing and condensate drain aspects. Gary Wilson"
"This must be a duplicate!"
"Thanks you!"
"Thank you! We came, we saw, and we conquered. I was happy to rid your home of the old power venter system. Thanks, Gary Wilson"
"That's always good--we will connect soon to get some pricing a new set up. Gary Wilson"
"Thanks for a positive review. Gary Wilson"
"Thanks for the nice words. These larger installations--we take quite seriously and wish to do a very good installation. I'm so glad the new systems are working well. Gary Wilson"
"Wow-Yes that was a while ago! Thank you for the 6 of a Kind A report! 9 years ago we started out quoting a new hot water heating system. Then you hired the guy for the Furnace/Ducting installation. That didn't work so well--furnace kept shutting down; It took some time to get that duct system in good working order. It's worth noting--the skilled trades are a unique crowd, you often don't know what you're getting until it's installed. That's why 'reputation' often supersedes 'price'; but not always. Gary Wilson"
"Thanks for your positive words. We love steam----it's a system that requires a few added skills to make them run well and I'm glad yours is keeping you happy. Gary Wilson"
"Thank You"
"Thank you for submitting an A report. I hope the new Lennox dual fuel LP-Heat Pump system is treating you very well. Gary Wilson"
"Thank you for the thorough review. I like how you indicated all the steps. It's not common for people to call on a Tuesday for a quote and we are there on a Thursday doing the work (of course that does happen though). I am on the job more often than not, I like to have my thumb prints on our installations:), I have opinions on how these installations should be put together. And you're right, the companies with the salesman handing info to the management that hands off info to the install manager that hands off info to the install crew---that sometimes doesn't go swimmingly :) Thanks again for your nice review Gary Wilson"
"I'm glad the ac is nice and new; cold air is a good thing. Thank you--- Gary Wilson"
"Thank you for a positive review. I must say that was probably the most detail-oriented ductless installation I have ever done (we've installed hundreds of ductless systems). I’m glad we finally got things squared away (existing wiring created some limitations) and I’m glad you opted to pay the additional costs for the new control wiring- that [Member Name Removed] eliminate future surprises. And thank you for referring me to your neighbor. Gary Wilson"
Gary Wilson and his whole team were outstanding; we were totally satisfied and impressed, almost beyond words.
We had spoken with several other contractors, particularly about the steam boiler replacement and the need to heat the basement. Gary was the only one who said "Sure, no problem." and, based on what I'd heard about his company and his advice for the split systems, we contracted the job.
Short version is the steam boiler was installed with a circulating hot water loop for the basement, we have awesome spilt systems in the house and garage, all installed by very skilled and professional tradesmen. Carine in the office processed all the rebate paperwork for us, which was a huge help and Gary followed up a week or so later, just to make sure everything was running OK and we were comfortable with running all our new equipment. Which we were, because his techs did a great job of programing the gear and explaining to us how to work and/or change settings.
Bottom line, you might be able to find a heating/cooling/plumbing contractor to do your work for a few less bucks but you'll be hard pressed to find a company as honest and professional as Wilson Services.
"WOW I think that gets the 'best review in my whole life' award, thank you so much! It's a fun job- the 1st 10 or 15 years I was learning the "mechanicals" of the trade, then I learned I needed to pay more attention to the human relations side of the business. I really enjoy working with people that show just the most basic signs of courtesy and respect like you two did (well above average I must say). It could be summed this way- the happier you make us, the happier we will make you for years and years to come. THANKS AGAIN YOU'VE MADE MY DAY! And thanks for feeding the crew too!!!! That was well beyond what we ever expect. Gary Wilson"
"I'm sorry things didn't work out. The financial ups and downs between you and I go way back, but I'll get to that in a minute. We hadn't serviced your boiler in over 15 years; you had my former employee Joel working on your system last I knew. Carine (in our office) has notes indicating you said (initial phone call), "my boiler is making noises and it sounds like it's about to blow up". That sounded quite serious, and she was able to re-arrange the schedule that afternoon (your initial call came in around 3 PM). When she called back to confirm the service call you weren't available/didn't pick up the phone. We got our service tech there several days later and he had never heard the noises your boiler was making and needed to call the factory techs out of state. You told my service tech you had a tune up done recently, and that HVAC service company you hired (evidently) didn't know how to make the boiler noises go away. My service tech told me you were with him the whole time he was there; I'm presuming you heard the conversation between my tech and the boiler manufacturer. The billing was $125/hr, the normal rate for the service tech. I asked my lead install tech to research the noise issues; he works on non-rudimentary boiler related issues more than the service tech does. I told my lead installer to get the necessary information from the boiler manufacturer to make your boiler noises go away. I needed the exact time frame for this, I did not want a guess. The manufacturer stated they didn't have any documentation. Without the necessary documentation, I didn't know how many hours were necessary for the next trip. Why was that a concern? Back in the early 1990's I did a rather substantial plumbing renovation for you at your home. When you received my bill you indicated you "didn't have that much money in your budget", and shorted me quite a sum of money. Of course, you never shared this 'budget' number before I began this substantial plumbing renovation, nor during the substantial plumbing renovation. But because of the position you held in our church, I just accepted it as a lack of communication and lack of experience on my part; I was quite young then. In 2003 you were remodeling your small commercial space and when I presented you with the costs for the HVAC work, you did it again: "I don't have that much money in the budget". Luckily for me, 10 years had passed and I had learned many lessons the hard way. I stated in so many polite words, "well, that's the price". Amazingly you managed to find the funding and we did all the work I had originally quoted for the commercial project. I learned you're the kind of guy that needs pricing up front. So it pained me to go back in (over 10 years without hearing from you; you were using my former employee) without knowing how many hours it would take to do the necessary servicing to your boiler and heating system, the boiler that we hadn't touched in 15 years. I'd rather walk away than get stuck one more time. I feared you didn't have any money in the budget for this problem. I don't know what happened between my install tech and the boiler rep. I had asked my lead install tech to ask the rep if there was anyone else in the area that could better service you. The rep offered to call you directly. I'm truly sorry if the interaction was less than professional. Gary Wilson"
