"Mike is the best contractor we have had the opportunity to work with. We were skeptical at first because most other contractors we have worked with over promise and under perform, as well as do not return phone calls / emails. Not Mike. For our kitchen project, he went out of his way to insure every piece of the project was finished and passed his own QC (which in many cases was more stringent than our own QC). He came up with a few ideas that really made the project shine (like the addition of an archway to separate two ceiling heights). Mike also was not afraid to express his opinion based on his experiences and this saved us a lot of time and money. Mike always told you what he was doing, when it would be done and what the next day consisted of so you could prepare yourself. His helper (also named Mike), is also a professional. Care was taken to insure proper set up and take down of anything needing to be installed. Each day, the job site would be cleaned to make the rest of the house more livable during construction. We are extremely impressed with the work and talents of Mike Carlon and are very happy we had him complete our kitchen remodel. We were taking down an old deck and adding a room to our house, along with doing a little kitchen remodeling. Dave and Andrew are excellent craftsmen. They also came up with creative solutions to some tricky design problems. Dave and Andrew always showed up on time, worked hard, then cleaned up the site at the end of the day. "This went great! Fay and Bert run a family painting business, but also perform their work to a very high quality. You notice that they take a lot of pride in their work, which is something I value. We had just remodeled our living room and it contained a very large amount of molding, trim, columns, and an elaborate custom fireplace surround. The work was left unpainted on purpose because we wanted to get a highly skilled and experienced painter to really do nice job on all of the intricate work. They were able to get the job scheduled and completed by the end of June which was a big deadline for us. They came buy to assess the job and offer a quote in early June. They use high quality materials and work fast. They offered advice where necessary and stuck to the original plan/scope of the project. I really appreciate this as well. They were very professional, cleaned up well, and also friendly and polite. I would definitely use them again for other projects and I highly recommend them to you as well!
