"Mike is the best contractor we have had the opportunity to work with. We were skeptical at first because most other contractors we have worked with over promise and under perform, as well as do not return phone calls / emails. Not Mike. For our kitchen project, he went out of his way to insure every piece of the project was finished and passed his own QC (which in many cases was more stringent than our own QC). He came up with a few ideas that really made the project shine (like the addition of an archway to separate two ceiling heights). Mike also was not afraid to express his opinion based on his experiences and this saved us a lot of time and money. Mike always told you what he was doing, when it would be done and what the next day consisted of so you could prepare yourself. His helper (also named Mike), is also a professional. Care was taken to insure proper set up and take down of anything needing to be installed. Each day, the job site would be cleaned to make the rest of the house more livable during construction. We are extremely impressed with the work and talents of Mike Carlon and are very happy we had him complete our kitchen remodel. "I was very lucky to find Colin Young and his great crew, carpenter David Hackett and his talented son, Andrew. We were taking down an old deck and adding a room to our house, along with doing a little kitchen remodeling. Dave and Andrew are excellent craftsmen. They also came up with creative solutions to some tricky design problems. Dave and Andrew always showed up on time, worked hard, then cleaned up the site at the end of the day. "The deal is really not labelled well. There is no fine print discussing the terms and it's only after you purchase that you find out that the deal is only good for UP TO 6 hours of wall paper removal for one room only. I feel this should be explicitly stated so that there is no confusion afterwards. Basically, if your "one room" only takes 2 hours to complete, that's all you get, even if you have more rooms that need wallpaper removed. The deal should be called "One room of wall paper removal for up to 6 hours of labor". 
Aside from that criticism, the project went well overall. The original date I had picked was scheduled and then the day before they were supposed to come out, they called and rescheduled because the weather had caused some back-up in their appointments. This was a little bit of a pain because I had taken the day off to be home for the work to be done. But they showed up on time for the re-scheduled appointment. The woman who did the work was nice and polite, and completed all of the rooms I needed done because the wallpaper came of with very little effort and she was able to get through all three rooms in under 2 hours.
