But upon removal of the exist aluminum siding, structural damage including carpenter ant damage and a rusted-cracked lally column were discovered. Bob made required repairs replacing 2x4s, the lally column, plywood, insulation, wall board, and plastering. Then he was able to begin work on the vinyl trim. Matt accepted to use my schematic design image (made with a software tool) and a spreadsheet list of the fixtures that I created - as many as fifty items including TOTO, Grohe, American Standard, Panasonic, and IKEA - to start the job (later changed some of them due to local plumbing code compliance) After beginning the bathroom remodel project, Matt shared what jobs will be done with us timely and efficiently via text so that we feel comfortable enough in knowing what is going on while living in the house of dust & noise from remodeling. The crews, Zen and Mark, were very courteous, extensively experienced, reliable, and friendly with excellent communication, sometimes with songs of 80s rock music. They ask me when more precise specifications are needed and notified me when they feel advance notifications are required. When a change is necessary due to inspection, they informed me and clarified what and why. I have never felt uncomfortable in living together with the remodel job which has lasted over four months. The completed two bathrooms were stunning, just as I imagined. Matt, Zen, and Mark have proved their strong & thoughtful expertise and lived up with my request patiently until completion. Great job. "We hired Bertie Walsh to re-do our garage ceiling which had been incorrectly repaired by a different contractor (not a contractor found on Angie's List).  Bertie was a godsend because after he removed the ceiling he pointed out to us that the previous contractor had failed to connect the blue board to the joist (not sure if that's the right word) and there also wasn't any strapping holding it to the subsurface, which would have caused it to eventually bow out.  Bertie put a new section of ceiling up and finished it with plaster and did a remarkable job matching the existing ceiling.

Bertie is quiet and hard working.  No fluff with this guy.  He's an honest, no-nonsense guy who will give you a very reasonable quote, will show up when he says he will, and then quietly and diligently do the work.  He cleaned up well after the work was completed.  I found myself looking for other things that needed plastering or handiwork around the house just so we could hire him again.  Yep, he is that good!

"Tom and his crew were extremely professional, courteous, and helpful in planning the task. They completed the tasks with attention to detail and were so easy to work with. The work is beautiful. Our stairwell/hallway looks AMAZING as do the curtain rods, and art that was hung. They were nice to my kids (and dog!) and very friendly and helpful. "Nate has done two projects for us. Early in 2023 he was able to trouble shoot a water leak in our basement that was under the sliding door to a deck. He removed the old patio door and replaced it with a new construction slider, repaired the water damaged area, deck flashing, and made the door and basement water tight. This fall, he replaced our old deck that was in poor shape. Nate gave us a few design options and price quotes. He and his team demolished the old deck and rebuilt the new one with pressure treated wood . They did an outstanding job, even sanding all the surfaces so they are completely smooth and ready to be waterproofed. He was able to jack hammer the cement step for the old stairs which opened up up the yard. We now have the best deck in the neighborhood that should last for 40+ years.
