Ryan Plumbing installed all new plumbing for a new 2nd bathroom in our house. 1 year after the project was complete the newly installed PVC pipe for the waste line fell out of an elbow joint and dumped waste into our basement. I called Jeff Ryan to repair it because I was hoping he would take ownership of his work. We talked about why it happened and he said that the overlap of the pipe within the elbow joint had only been half of what was needed (0.75 inch vs 1.5 inch). He apologized and did not charge for the repair. However, a couple of days later when I asked Jeff to pay for the $1,600 cleanup cost, he fabricated a new story about the problem being caused by a clog and not his quality of work."

Our projects were having our fieldstone basement repointed, adding a small piece to our existing fence to our garage, and adding paving stones behind the garage. While he was here, we showed him another project we were considering, and he was able to fit that in the following week. The second project was cleaning out the attic of the garage, removing the floorboards and installing a new 4-foot shelf in the attic ceiling, painting the interior, and installing 3 new windows. Mike is truly a jack of all trades! All the projects above came out great and we were very thankful to have his guidance as things went along. Communication from the front office was frustratingly slow - dragging the project out for weeks. They gave me a quote, which I agreed to not knowing anything about plumbing or radiators. During the process I did some research about how much the radiators cost, plus spoke with other local plumbers about what a job like this should cost in labor. I estimate if was overcharged by several hundred dollars. I did sign the initial agreement however, so I paid my final bill. The work was done well in the end, but I'll never hire them again. Lesson learned - do your homework!"
