"Ari threw out two old doors, installed an interior door and a storm door (insulating the wall around the door to keep the cold out), repaired a leaking ceiling that was caused by a rotted gutter that he repaired and cleaned out the gutters around the whole house. A local framer or drywall installer might do the work for you as well. If you need an outlet installed for the new TV, an electrician may do both items for you.

While it can be done, hanging a TV on a brick wall without drilling requires thoughtful care. Conditions of the wall, the weight of the TV, any items below the TV, and more must be taken into account. It’s highly recommended to use studs for a TV mount. The last thing you want is to be watching your favorite show when the TV falls off the wall. Studs are much stronger than drywall and quite a bit stronger than drywall anchors but, if you can’t find the studs or there simply aren’t any where you need them, you can use drywall anchors. It’s extremely important to make sure the anchors are rated for the load of the TV. We recommend using anchors that are rated far beyond the weight of whatever you’re hanging.
