"The job went well, very brief and surprisingly inexpensive. (I understand everyone has to live, so I expected to pay for a livelihood, but I was delighted to have my wallet only lightly crimped.) Bertie Walsh arrived around the agreed time.  I gave him the two grab bars the VA decided I needed in my bathing area, an old retired vet in a wheelchair, like me. I live alone, in a condo, so I needed a handyman to install them.
I'm glad I had a professional person install them because, even if I were fit, I surely would have botched the job. This place was cut up into condos in 1987. It used to be just a red brick factory-- originally constructed around the turn of the 20th century to work with Brockton by making those metal lacing eyelets for boots. They used metal--not plywood--when they cut the factory into apartments like mine (Bertie Walsh later explained to me). If I were doing the job myself I would have been expecting wooden studs behind the tile--which would have been full of exploratory holes when I got done.
So, I pointed to the bathroom, assured myself that Bertie Walsh had all he needed, and went to finish watching the program I had on, wondering what I had to offer Mr. Walsh when he broke for lunch soon. How pleased I was when that time arrived and he said the job was done and that I only owed him $50!
Bertie Walsh explained to me that the grab bars were firm, but that he had to install them in the metal. Should they loosen, over time, do not risk injury, by all means call him.

"Aurelio and his AML team were wonderful to work with. Their hard work, attention to detail and effort to accommodate all of our needs was greatly appreciated. They completed 8 projects: installed a new 18’ x 24’ patio with fire pit, replaced old steps with a beautiful new deck, replaced rotted siding with new siding, replaced garage roof, built a pergola with a swing, planted a Zen garden around the swing, built a 8’ x 60’ bocce court, built six 8’ x 4’ cedar raised garden beds and a beautiful fence to protect the garden. "I have done a lot of research into soundproofing and had a quite a few contractors stop by for an evaluation and a quote over the past couple years, and Robert stood out with his friendly demeanor, level of knowledge, and being easy to talk to; he seemed to have good experience in soundproofing and actually knew soundproofing concepts I'd read up on earlier (surprisingly many other drywall contractors were either evasive in rating their confidence in their proposed projects or simply did not have good plans or knowledge of options). He worked with me on a plan to redo a wall separating my bedroom from noisy neighbors, and the result is excellent! Robert and his team have turned a single stud wall into a decoupled double stud wall, with all the right elements for soundproofing, such as quality insulation, acoustic caulk and dampening compound (both by Green Glue), socket putty, etc. Robert's choice of materials was well informed, and the quality of his work was very good, neat, and precise. I could tell he enjoys doing his work well. He cleaned up after the job was done, and the new wall was perfectly plastered--all I had left to do was to paint (which I enjoy doing myself). The total expense was very reasonable for the cost of materials and labor. I also appreciated that Robert always kept me up-to-date on his schedule and coordinated his visits--great communication. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the experience and glad that I found Robert and his team! I can heartily recommend his services for your drywall and related projects! I'd like to also note for general reference that soundproofing is a global project: learn the weak areas where the sound travels--it's frequently not just your walls, but also through your floors and through your ceilings, including from neighbors on the same floor as you! You may think that just fixing one area will solve everything, but sound wave propagation needs to be considered from all directions/sources, and week areas need to be identified: e.g. you may need to redo your wall and your floor, for example, or your wall and your ceiling, or all 3 at once, depending on your exact needs and situation."
