"We recently used LUX & Owens Corning products to remodel the basement of our Cape Cod residence. We had a typical unfinished basement. Lux promised to finish the project in two to three weeks. Even with the challenges of both obtaining materials and workman these days they did as promised. LUX finished exactly in two weeks! We are talking metal framing, walls, flooring , ceilings, heating, venting, and tearing down "construction stairs" and building beautiful custom oak stairs and railing! The project manager (David, 20 yrs. with LUX) was exemplary in communicating and answering all of our questions as well as being there either in person or by telephone at our beckoned call, even after hours. The electrical team was in and out in one day (with a few hour follow up later). The remainder of ALL of the work, framing, flooring, ceilings wall to wall including the stairs was all done by ONE worker, Luis (19 yrs. with LUX). He worked 10 hour days and took the time to do the work as if it was his own basement telling me "you paid good money, you deserve good workmanship"! I cannot recommend LUX more! Don't let the price of the product scare you away, yes the product is pricy but the quality of the workmanship, the efficiency of the workers and the warranty of the product is well worth the cost. "I needed my entryway stairs and porches replaced due to age. I found MMP Construction here on Angie’s list, and contacted them through the website. Matt, the owner, called me back the next day and we arranged a time for him to come and give me an estimate. He showed up exactly when he said he would, and emailed me the estimate the next day. When I hired him, he told me upfront that it would be a while before he could start due to an ongoing project he was working on. I appreciated that. When the time came for him to start, there were some delays, mainly weather related, and he was very conscientious about calling me and letting me know what was going on and when to expect them. Although the project took longer than I expected to be finished, I am very happy with the finished product. Matt is excellent at communication. He took care of all permits, and arranged all inspections. His crew was always on time. They did an excellent job cleaning up after they were done, and the finished project was fantastic. I would definitely recommend MMP Construction, and would not hesitate to use them again in the future."

"I hired Bob Phalan for repairs and renovation of a rental unit in Dorchester that had wear and tear from multiple tenants. Bob worked on replacing exterior clapboards, renovating the bathroom with new tiles, replacing bathroom rotten wood frame window with a vinyl frame, installing new light fixtures and repairing bathroom plumbing, repairing torn screens, as well as repainting all walls and trim throughout the unit. He also plastered damaged ceilings and cleaned and organized the basement storage area. Bob arrived early each day and worked diligently. Bob is a good problem solver and can suggest ways to do repairs for the best outcome while keeping costs down. I would definitely hire him again."

"This is the second project we've had Edian do for us (the first was rebuilding the back decks on our building), and once again he did a terrific job. He and his team managed to efficiently tear down our deteriorating front porches and replace them with state-of-the-art composite decking, including laying a solid concrete foundation, water-proofing the different floors, preserving the original roofing, adding gutters and replacing the porch ceilings with bead board. The full project took roughly a month, but that included a couple of rain delays. Super pleased with the final product, and would recommend Edian to anyone looking for professional work at a reasonable price."

"Ari is the absolute BEST! I needed various light fixtures replaced/installed throughout the house. I had previously hired an electrician last year to do a few things, but he left holes in the wall, damaged the ceiling, and I was not satisfied with his work overall. Then Ari came to my rescue and I learned how good a contractor can be if you find the right one! He switched 2 ceiling fans to different rooms (and repaired the ceilings the previous guy damaged), fixed the hole in the wall, installed new switches, including dimmers, and installed 2 new ceiling lights. It seemed like every switch he opened had 15 wires coming out of the wall so it was not easy, but he did a great job. If he can fix the wiring in my crazy house, he can do anything. I highly recommend Ari for any projects around the house - big or small. He is respectful, extremely knowledgeable, hardworking, and overall a great guy!"
