John was very professional. The work he did was excellent. He came every day when he said he would. I will definitely hire him again. He is also a wonderful person.

John was excellent! Was very responsive. Showed up on time every time and even had treats for my crazy anckle bitting dogs when he showed up at the door. He was friendly, personable and did the job on schedule as promised. The job ended up costing me a bit more than what I expected and purchased on angieslist. I guess I did not factor the amount of work that needed to go into the job. Overall I was very satisfied and would definitely use him again!

John was exceptionally professional and worked very hard to fit us into his schedule. His services were exceptional.

John did excellent work. He removed the damaged part of the ceiling and plastered it, blending it to the existing ceiling so that when I painted it, it didn't look like it had ever been damaged.

He was excellent in communicating and did a fine job with the removal and replastering the stucco. It matched the remaining stucco better than I expected. It wasn't done exactly when I expected but he is very busy and the weather in New England was not cooperative during the period when the work was to be done, causing delays.

I called John, he responded promptly and came at the time he said he would, gave me an immediate estimate, and said he would call when he had an opening. A few weeks later he called and gave us a possible day and time and he would contact us the day before to confirm. He called and said he would be here the next day at 8AM. He actually came at 8:05AM! We were totally suprised since he was the first contractor that we have ever used that came when he said he would. He spent a considerable amount of time cover the floors, counters, rugs and furniture with plastic. he also hung plastic from the ceilings enclosing the work areas. At the completion of the job, he picked up everything and bagged it for the trash. It was remarkably clean when he finished. He did an excellent job in smoothing the distressed area and matching the swirls to the existing ceiling. He also patched several cracks from the sever winter of 2014 again matching the swirls. John was very pleasant to deal with and we would highly recommend him.

Great communication. Came when he said he would to estimate. Called the day before to confirm. Came within 5 minutes of he estimated arrival and spent a considerable time covering floors and all surrounding areas with sheets of plastic. Did an incredible job matching the swirl ceiling after other contractors said it could not be done. Cleaned up all material and area. A true professional.

Mr. Crichton discussed options and made a suggestion about the most cost effective approach.  Because he was patching and not replastering the whole area, he needed to match as best as possible the area around the patches.  The treatment of the patched areas are quite close to the surrounding old plaster.  His work was very good, and the room was left clean.  Mr. Crichton was a pleasure to work with.

John returned my initial call the next day and arranged to come look at the project 2 days later. John (and his assistant) came when he said he would, evaluated the project, gave an estimate and said he could do it the following Monday. Work began on the day and time specified. Plastic sheeting and rosin paper was utilized to keep the house as clean as possible. Work was completed in three hours. Work was high quality and they did an excellent job of cleaning up afterwards. We would recommend John Crichton Plastering without reservation.

We had a little difficulty arranging a time but that was my fault and not his. Once we got in contact and scheduled he was prompt and professional. The overall experience from Quote to Completion was painless.

First of all - John returned my phone call promptly!  He came out within the next days to inspect the damage and within 24 hours, gave me an estimate for the work that  needed to be done. 
He managed to squeeze us into his schedule a week earlier than expected and that was great.  He told us when he would arrive and he was like clockwork, on time and ready to go!
I would definitely rehire him again and refer him to anyone who needs this type of work done.

John repaired some water damaged ceilings in my house a month ago.  The job was fairly extensive and needed the plaster to match the swirl pattern in the rest of the house.  He did a very good job for me and kept the place clean by sealing off the area with plastic sheeting and covering the entire hardwood floor with heavy paper.  The job took two people two days and cost $1,500.  

Since John worked out so well, I brought him back for another smaller plastering job after a plumber had finished repairing some pipes for me.  He repaired some areas that had severe water damage and needed the old plaster cut out and replaced.  The job took two people 3/4 of a day and cost $550.  He knew exactly what to do, did good work, and cleaned up after himself.  I am an engineer who has contracted many private contractors to rebuild an renovate several homes that I have lived in over the years and can say with no reservations that John is top quality at a good price.

He was very neat and did an excellent job.  I don't know much about drywall; therefore, I have no details.
